Anzel
As per the title. Will all existing models be retained in 3.0 and (possibly) beyond? Will they be on new vendors? Will the existing vendors be relocated? Will all of the existing sets require Basic comms? Will there be new "Elite" and "Ultimate" sets?

The Obroan and Brutalizer sets will be removed from vendors and replaced by the new Unranked and Ranked sets respectively. The existing PvE sets will all be moved to a different vendor than they are on currently. Saregon
I just hope "all" really means all for the PvE sets, I hate when they remove skins from the game, especially when there are some pieces I'd still like to get on a few characters. Heezdedjim
So I guess the existing PvP sets are gone for good? But their PvE cousins will remain? The response definitely said that the PvP sets will be removed. It did not definitely say that all current PvE sets will still be available. People have assumed that, but all he really said is whatever sets are sold are going to be sold by a different vendor than who sells them now. He didn't actually say all the sets will be available from some vendor. If it goes like it did last time, at least some of the lower tier or last generation sets will be removed as obsolete, and their skins will reappear as resprays in future CM packs. This is my main concern. I think there is an assumption that he meant "all" when really he meant "some" or "most" or "I have no idea". Would be nice to get even a little bit of a heads up if they are removing stuff LOL.

This was pretty much what I was thinking as well, for people who will be capped at lower levels without expansions, they really need to keep that gear in as something for them to work towards...or something. So I totally get this from a gearing perspective. However in terms of cosmetics I would like to see all of the sets preserved if possible. They make it hard enough already to put together a decent outfit. You know... there is absolutely nothing in this world worth doing unless you look fantastic while doing it. They could keep some of the level 50 and 55 sets, or all of them, or none at all. Even if they removed them all, the level 50 and 55 people still would have world drops and craftable gear available to them, just like you do at any other point in the leveling range below the cap. Regardless whether there is a reason to keep any of it, they haven't said for sure whether they are or not. And we know from last time that they did remove a lot of the previous token and commendation gear. That's why the OP asked. It's a fair question, and a reasonable one for them to answer specifically, because it affects whether people decide whether to buy some of this old gear now or not. I know, and if you check my post history, you'll probably see that I've asked for clarification in the same way probably 5 or 6 times since the initial comment was made about "all" pve sets remaining in game. With my post you quoted, I was simply stating that was my line of thinking as well for why they would or should keep all the sets available in game. Tylantia
It was stated in an interview (check dulfy and/or reddit, should be page 2 or 3 now) that all the old PvE gear will simply move to somewhere else on the fleet, possibly new vendor. All the new 60 gear will reside where the current ones are.
