Damage/Healing Reduction?

Can someone please clue me in to what led to this coming change?

 

Why are they reducing our damage and healing across the board in 3.0...when not too long ago, they added buffs to the Makeb area because people complained about it being too hard.

 

I've always been of the opinion that the time to kill things in this game were pretty long. You go up against a champion, and you have to hit him with your lightsaber, over and over and over...

 

...and now they want us to have to hit him with our lightsaber, over and over and over and over.

 

This just doesn't make sense to me....and as I stated, it directly contradicts the changes they implemented not too long ago.

Its mostly for boss fights in group content. The boss fights were being completed faster than the devs wanted it done so they did the stat crunch. To be honest this would of been done at some point anyways. Every mmo thats been out for a good amount of time generally goes through this. I think the makeb thing is somewhat different because when it was released most people were overgeared for it but when you go through it as part of the story peeople were undergeared. I think the also wanted to encourage people to do its since a lot of people were skipping it.

 

Im not saying i agree or disagree but thats why they did it
