Flagship Starfighter

I think that it would be great to bring back star fighter, except in a new concept.

At the current time, there is no star fighter on because no one queues. But... What if as well as conquest, a guild could find other guilds with their flagship complete and lock on to it. It would take any time from 10-30 mins to lock on, but once it does, your flagship would travel to theirs and the battle would begin.

The battle would occur in both flagships, but could only be initiated if both flagships are complete. By challenging another guild, you would put guild bank money on the line. The battle would be accomplished by destroying the other guilds ship. This can be achieved two ways.

Similar to STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT II there would be space conflict where star fighter would be involved. You could attack from space and in your ship or board their ship and pvp and plant bombs in main areas. There could also be turrets that can be auto or player controlled to shoot down ships coming to board.

I think a significant part of why people do not queue for GSF is that it is a side game that has its own progression system that is not linked to your account but to your character. As this game is approaching 3 years of uptime many of the players who have been around a long time (and even those who haven't) have multiple characters and run through content as different types of characters to keep the game fun/interesting.

Since any progression in GSF is linked to your character but there can be a significant difference in your experience in GSF with 'noob' ships/load outs fewer people decide to queue. Normal PVP WZ's don't have this problem as you are roughly equivalent to the players you will be playing against in attributes/abilities etc.

If BioWare/EA was to make it so that all your progression earned in GSF was connected to your legacy/account, then more people might queue for GSF since they can queue from any player and continue their progression rather than having to start over.

As it is totally a side game with no effect on your characters or legacy in any way, this is really how it should have been done from the beginning.

WARNING : Vector off topic

Hmm, yeah, keep the faction split, but have a single 'stable' of ships across your legacy. That would certainly make it an option to casually drop into a game rather than have a dedicated night playing on one character just for SF.

Kudos.
