OkinBob
Why do all the characters on my Legacy have to have the same last name? That's an incredibly stupid rule. Let us give different characters different last names. I want Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Lando Calrissian... ...not Luke Skywalker, Han Skywalker, and Lando Skywalker. I think this has been the status quo for such a long time that people have forgotten how dumb it is.
KTap
They want you to buy legacy name renames every time you switch to an alt Edited November 24, 2014 by KTap
DeLaaNie
Or how about just allowing capital letters and spaces anywhere within a name?
OkinBob
I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in this.
Foambreaker
Or they could just allow spaces in names. It's not like it has not been done by many games.
JediQuaker
It only makes sense to have one "legacy" name. It's like, even if a Lannister offspring marries someone and their last name becomes something else, they're still a "Lannister" by legacy. So don't think of the legacy name as a surname, exactly. But, I agree, it might be nice if characters could have their own surname (or middle name) in addition to their legacy name. No it doesn't make sense at all that two race sith would have a race human offspring. The idea was never well thought out, it is just a bad idea we have gotten used to. Karkais
I'm surprised there doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in this. I am sure there is a lot of interest among the players since names like 1di0tiC that you eventually have to use due to unavailable proper names, are very immersionbreaking. I have just come to the conclusion that every MMO that copies WoW simply DOES NOT CARE what players think. All it would take to fix the situation were long enough names with spaces and capital letters allowed. But no, devs must copy WoW in every single aspect. Even the ones that make no sense.
