themasterofevil
So... Yea the title says it all. I always see these youtube videos and it seems like everybody's lightsaber is super long. But then, i look at my lightsabers and they're tiny on my sentinel.. Or any toon for that matter. The only lightsabers that actually LOOK like a lightsaber are event sabers. The Outbreak Response Lightsaber and the Grey Helix lightsaber are long, but then you put on a normal lightsaber and they're super tiny. Maybe im just missing something, but it really bugs me. I dont have the Grey Helix so im stuck with the Outbreak Response Lightsabers but i really hate the hilt. It's just too ugly.
Alyssis
I guess you can understand why i pay alot of credits everytime i wanna play on a different char, or even lvl a new one.. I have two gree sabers.. had a third one, which got deleted on a char i dont remember (Major fail), and i simply cant get myself to play with any other saber.. I like them to much..! The blades of most lightsabers are about 1 meter or 1 yard long (~33-36 in). Note, however, that that's relatively short for what is most often portrayed as a two-handed weapon (in my memory, only Anakin and Dooku ever use their sabers 1-handed for any length of time in the films and only very briefly). I'm not what you would call a learned expert, but most swords wielded in two hands were longer than that, typically being about 4 feet in length. So lightsabers are relatively short in that respect. They're not outside of the range of realism for swords, but maybe that's why they look short to you?
wean
Your epeen needs to be a little bigger. That was my problem when I noticed it early on.
themasterofevil
Yea, i wish i had played the gree event enough to actually get a gree saber. But again, i just dont really understand why the lightsabers are so small. Its like im carrying around a yoda size lightsaber on a normal jedi. Its like im using a baton instead of a lightsaber. I just wish bioware could make them a little longer, because i want to use other lightsabers, not just my outbreak response lightsabers :/

LadyVix
Bioware is clueless when it comes to saber size. Your saber is too small, however mine... http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a11/utladyvixen/longLS_zps72b7b30b.jpg Ugh!

Sorwen
For me most of the hilts on the new weapons are too long and too big. We are back to NERF size on some of these and half the time your beating the mob with the hilt not the blade.

I'd be more likely to equip that on my back, not my belt.

They can be used either way. Hilt designs and flourishes differ from user to user, but in the end, the saber length is appropriate for the users in question. So no the blades themselves are not too short.

A Katana blade is generally between 23-28 inches in length. The Katana was designed to primarily be used in two hands much like a Katana and their overall length is shorter than many european two handed swords. A Lightsaber is around the same length. There's nothing wrong with a "two handed sword" to be around 36 inches in total when said sword is also extremely light.

I didn't say they were "too" short, just that they were on the shorter end of normal. The OP might be more accustomed to thinking of swords more in the middle-range of ~48 inches, hence seeing the sabers as short.
