Performance in 3.0

Hi,

are there any engine performance improvements in 3.0? Such as SLI support or fps fix for 16-men instances? This is the only reason I stop playing every time when i get back hungry for this great game.

P.S. My machine has 690gtx and @4.8Ghz i7 cpu, SSD drive etc. and yes, yes... I've made every fps improvement tricks I found during last 2 years without significant success.

Swtor unleashed? That helps quite a bit, especially in content such as 16man raids.

I agree the engine on this game has always had really really dire performance based on the fact it's been horrible since beta I wouldn't count on them fixing it now. But we can hope :D.

Yeah, tried that too :)

Some time ago I was doing 16-men and I've asked people on TeamSpeak if they got horrible fps atm - most of them had about 10-20 fps, some even 2-3, but... what was surprising, they get used to it, which is kinda hopeless.

So, there is nothing so dangerous as stopping to attack developers with feedback :)

FPS issue in 16 men instances 1st started with 2.9.0. Just before server shutdown for 2.9.0 me and several people were in 16 men HM DF, and i was playing with high texture resolution, high character texture, high shader complex, very high visibility, 2X anisotropic filtering and everything else off, was playing with 30 FPS. after server came online i entered game and suddenly in fleet my fps went to 5, waited about 5 min and it did not go up. so toned down graphics, anisotropic set to disabled, character quality to low, texture to low, shader to very low and visibility to low and fps went to 30 again. after 2.10.0 patch it went downhill again and no matter how much i lower my graphics even going to 800X600 doesn't get my fps to 30 ever and it is a nightmare in 16 men pvp and pve instances. i stopped doing pvp and 16 men ops altogether. i wonder if things will go better with 3.0. we also need 64 bit client.

This quote is golden - currently game can't use more than little over 3 Gigs of memory, so tight. It may be one of main reasons of poor performance. I remember when WoW was implementing 64-bit client - even then for a well-polished game engine people were noticing at least 10fps gain right after.
