If you don't mind networking to his computer, you can:

1) Have him create an account and start the download and install process

2) Once the LAUNCHER has downloaded, installed, and started downloading the game proper, STOP IT

3) Copy the contents of your SWTOR installation into his

4) Launch the launcher on his computer again

He can just use the download link to get the game.

If his internet is too slow, then your ancient discs shuld work, but he'll have a lot to download anyway.

Which is why it would be just better if LoverNoFighter copied his SWTOR folder onto external HDD (without personal stuff like character/keybind/UI data of course, just instalation files), friend makes account and installs the first EXE, cancels download of the entire thing, copies files from Lover and then runs Repair. Should work, I moved the game like this once when I wanted to avoid hours-long download

EDIT: What DarthTHC said, though I think running Repair after copying would be advised

As mentioned above, it should be fastest just to download from the link, since even after you install from the discs, you still need to download lots of new patches, etc. Even faster, you could just copy the SWTOR folder from your machine to their's and then run "Launcher.exe" on their machine. Since you don't (or shouldn't) copy any of the SWTOR related stuff in Users\[userbame]\AppData or Documents, there's no worries about copying personal settings.

Of course, they'll also need to setup there own account.

It would still be far better to either install from the discs or copy your folder over. It would be much safer for both of you to have your friend just install from the discs. Either way you're going to have to do a repair and download all the updates, but using the discs will:

1) prevent any security issues in copying from one computer to another

2) prevent your friend from ever seeing the BitRaider client

I would recommend using your discs, because it is simple and straightforward. In any case, there is no reason for your friend to buy another set of discs.

a question is it possible for a person to start a second account of their own, and play it on the same comp as their original, but only playing one at a time, not trying to do 2 games at once, and that way I can get some experience on the new characters, for once I get a new comp, transfer new account to new comp, I may get the new comp in a couple of months or perhaps earlier.

You dont even need to do that. Just copy the whole swtor folder over to his hard drive. Get him to create an account and then login. All you need to do is create a shortcut on the desktop.

Much easier than downloading the launcher

You don't even need to transfer accounts to seperate computer. All you need to do is login with the new account.
