Letsgomental
Hello my fellow snipers i been playing my sniper since release i used Kaliyo to level up then i swapped over to Lokin got him pretty decent geared 36k hp and he keeps me alive when ever i solo around but i was thinking for doing dailys to speed things up swapping him out for a dps companion insteed i just cant decide for who HK is good for singel target dps and i mostly use him for world pvp but since droid armor is kinda broken atm im thinking of vector or templar i know its melee vs ranged but who do u recon would do higher dps if they both have the same gear? Vector is definately the highest option. Melee DPS companions are about 50% stronger than their RDPS bretheren. At least, if all their abilities are working fine (Im looking at you Yuun!) and their mainhand is a normal-ish mainhand (AKA willpower or strength based) After Vector, next up is HK51, who is about 13% stronger than your RDPS companion Third place is a tie between Ensign Temple and Kaliyo Then you have a tie between Treek, tank stance, dps gear, and Doc Lokin Finally, Scorpio. Scorpio would be higher, but being stuck in droid armor and NOT doing ridiculous DPS like HK puts you at a disadvantage. TACeMossie
Hey i forgot to ask what stance do u use with Vector? I believe the DoT one works better - mainly cause mobs pretty much dont have any armor unless they're Platinum-rating (Champion).
Mubrak
Actually Lokin is quite strong in his DPS "stance", unlike the other healer companions he can't heal at all but has some extra oomph. Also you can hand down your old mods to Lokin (or Temple and partly HK51) Vector will need some extra work to equip (unles you have a willpower alt, of course). Letsgomental
My Lokin is in 180/162 gear atm i been giving him my old gear and i leveld up a char last night and took the gear u get from Oricron with willpower so that will make a started for Vector until i get a chance to farm some better for him atm he is in a few older tionease, columi, rakata gear im gonna save those in my bank for old times sake

Loc_n_lol
What is the issue with Yuun, out of curiosity? Some of his abilities are force-based, although his main stat is aim and his gear gives tech power. Not sure what would happen if you were to gear him in willpower gear, but either way you won't be able to slot a resolve hilt in a techstaff.
