where have all the dye mods gone?

the day after strongholds was released I stopped getting dye schematics I am an advanced artificier.

does anyone know if there has been changed

my character is only level 19 so maybe its my level?

If you are an advanced artifice (450) and have gotten all the schematics that the trainer had available there are no more dyes from the trainer.

 

That being said there are a few other dyes schematic available and those are normally the more popular ones but those require a set reputation with certain places and those will require a higher level.

 

CZ reputation you can buy a dye from them.

I cannot remember the reputation needed for them now as I have those maxed but those require doing the dailies and weekly to get the reputation trophies and you will need to be at lease level 50 to do them.

most are champion or legend. I only know that because I struggle to do dailies even for reputation for something I want and so I only have the appropriate rep for two of the groups that offer dye modules: CZ and Oricon.

Technically you're right, white/orange and orange/white are directly learned from the artifice trainer, while those that want to proudly display their wickedness by wearing black gear need to farm reputation and buy a schematic.

Although there are no schematics, there is a White/Red dye available for only 5k from the Security Key Vendor on Fleet. It looks fantastic with certain armor sets.

If you got the collectors edition. If you did not then you cannot even look at what that vendor has (believe me I've tried).

The black/anything always sell, as was mentioned. The rep vendor schematics are profit makers for the dedicated crafter.

 

I'd love to see more come available, especially some from the older CM packs but there is the issue.....CM packs make them alot of money and dye modules are a key component there so getting more crafting options will be difficult. I expect we'll get a few here and there with the xpac but not many.

Dyes on the whole are an interesting market. They were the first thing I crafted for profit when I started out in this game ( with artifice for whatever reason, I think because it made crystals and hilts that I figured I would need without really knowing much about the game ) and with them I was able to level up in appropriate blue/purple gear every 4-6 levels and still make a profit which isn't a generally easy thing to do apparently when leveling an unsupporter toon if you listen to a lot of people.

 

These days I don't bother crafting dye's as much but I do get a lot from CM packs and also often buy out a lot the stocks of other CM dyes on the GTN when they are priced low and relist at a good price. Most popular dyes will easily fetch 300K+ and I've often found those going for like 30K over 2 pages.
