Primarch_PWnD
Since taunts are going to be "missing" starting in 3.0, does this mean that raids are going to wipe simply because there is a percentage chance to fail a taunt during a tank-swap or aggro-drop? Did they really need to make tanks even more intensive to play? As it stands, tanks have to know where and what the boss is doing, where and what the rest of his raid is doing, the heal-status of both the boss and the raid group, and still have to concentrate on dealing enough damage to hold aggro, while trying to anticipate what's coming next. On top of that, we now have to worry about wiping the group simply because of a percentage chance..... As a tank player, I would have preferred a miss chance to Sentinels who jump in before the tank.....THAT would make tanking better..... I understand that tanks will get an accuracy "bonus", but that still leaves whatever percentage chance left to fail, which means there is a %100 that it WILL fail eventually, and potentially at a time that will wipe the group..... Coming from a game dubbed "Stun Wars", that leaves you without control of your character for long periods of time (and calls that "fun"), I guess this isn't a surprising move... I can't wait for the added "fun" of paying for my raid groups' repairs because my taunt failed.... Unless I am understanding this incorrectly.... MillionsKNives
Do DPS miss their abilities if they have 110% accuracy? No, they don't. So why would tanks? This is going to be exactly like it was pre-2.0 for tanks.

The understanding is that it is statistically possible, but extremely unlikely a taunt will miss a boss unless one of the following conditions are true: 1) The player is suffering from an accuracy debuff. 2) The boss is showing a defense rating buff. 3) The boss is immune to tech / force abilities. Avoid taunting during that time and you should be golden.
Halinalle
They said that outside of few special bosses (10% resist buff?) our taunts won't miss.

azudelphi
Fixed. A nuance, but I appreciate accuracy. Cheers.

Taunts will only miss if the devs decide to allow them to miss on a specific mob. Tanking stances will also get a bonus to hit in 3.0.
Fleurdelis
If as a tank your suck is strong then you will miss with a taunt. If your geared and choose the right options in your build you will be fine. Edited November 7, 2014 by Fleurdelis
