That first one would be no joke. 2 dps without heals or tank? 2 stealthers target 1. Melted before the stealth take much damage, then they cloak out. Metthew Posted November 6, 2014 Share Posted November 6, 2014 In a long post of suggestions, I did suggest 4v4 arenas should be abolished, in lieu of 1v1, 2v2 and 8v8 - where the first two have a separate queue than the latter. Duelling rings ARE Star Wars-y, and the rating you would get there would mean more. I'd also suggest these maps have smaller and less numerous (but existent) LOS barriers, and be about 40m radius circles alike the Taris duelling ring. Stealth then becomes a choice between having an escape or having the first strike. And if the arena circle is sufficiently small (see. Yet another reason this is a stupid suggestion.That was a suggestion for balancing against two stealth class. If we had 1v1 dueling queues, this would not be needed. Neither would it be needed if the burst was toned down - which actually WILL happen seeing that damage and heal number will become more conservative in the next patch compared to health. The thing I was trying to get across is, actual balancing can be fixed somehow. My main argument for 2v2 and 1v1 has always been that dueling rings have been more KotOR than 4v4 arenas, and if we replaced 4v4's with 2v2's and 1v1's, we would have a ladder with meaningful ratings with a much smaller population. I would honestly want 1v1's only, but 2v2's would allow play with tank and healers as well without drastic changes in class play. Then they should remove solo q. It's really easy to get a mate for 2 v2That is actually exactly what I would go for (though as I said, I'd want 1v1's for immersion purposes). 8v8's and 2v2's/1v1's. Now that I think about it, they can simply track your rating for each category for solo and group too, for matchmaking purposes. Allow selection in category while queue'ing and possibly merge the unranked/ranked queue's (with unranked not affecting rating), and you have a robust ladder that can cater to a wider audience with not that much problem in matchmaking. If it were really up to me, we would have no 4v4 arenas. But since we have arenas, the format I would want them to be in is 2v2/1v1. Or keeping them in only ranked? Sorry, the wording is a bit confusing. Could you elaborate please? I do agree that we should have one single pool, though our thought of implementation might differ. I find it irritating that it got that small and I also find that classes that are fine in a larger scale role are lacking in 4v4 and people complain about it. A 2 by 2 makes it even worse. At one time, I was entirely happy with my sniper being more of a support, but there is really not much room for that role in these small death matches. It's nothing wrong with the classes but people will act like they need to be balanced around that fact.
