I know big changes are coming, but I would like to know what your mindset is. Because if you really think operative/scoundrel healers are balanced in pvp right now then we've got a big problem. -- anybody with l2p comments, save your bandwidth. Shenyu Posted November 4, 2014 Share Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) In an environment like 4v4 arena I think they're the clearly superior choice when compared to other healers just because of their mobility and utility. But in 8v8's, (if we still had 8v8 ranked..) I've found all of the healers to operate relatively equally. Depending on who's behind them. Sorc bubbles OP. But because there's only 4v4 ranked, it puts Operative/Scoundrels right in the spotlight - so people slap a big ole' "OP" sticker on them. Roll -> Force Speed -> Hydraulic Overrides Shield Probe -> Static Shield -> .. Uhhh.. You get the point. Each of them has similar defensives but the way they heal is entirely different, and frankly Op's healing method is just best for 4v4 TDM. Edit: On the plus side, both Mercs and Sorcs are getting more mobility in 3.0 - which will increase their viability. They're easy to play and they have the heals/slipperiness needed to be an effective healer in ranked. I don't think they are OP, most of the people still whining about them are bad dps. Nickhilius Posted November 4, 2014 Share Posted November 4, 2014 I have a mercenary healer and an operative healer, If i go on my marauder they're really OP but you can beat them because they're actually healing the group. I think operatives/scoundrels look OP because they do have heal abilities without cast times. And a lot people think well i'm not gonna kill that healer that's impossible. I laugh when I'm my healer , because so many try hards just dps and let me cast away. People that complain a class is OP never bother to interrupt or move. Basically L2P.
