BS

Sorry Bioware, but your decision to keep DPS rates at the same level the same at 60 is complete and utter BS. I am paying for advancement, not for being hold back. I want to become stronger, not stay the same at lvl 60.

PLEASE consider changing this so that DPS goes up in higher levels!

This makes me want to UNSUB! And that is your fault Bioware.

Random fact: If you remove all the DPS Buffs from patch 2.0 to 2.10, then 3.0 is a universal DPS buff for everyone.

Current estimates is that in optimized 198s, DPS should be 4.2-4.3k. Going by how the tier increases worked in the past, we can estimate that its a 14% DPS reduction to everything that comes as a consequence.

So you'd rather become "stronger" while the enemies become even more hard to kill?

Because if they didn't lower the DPS, they would just increase the HP for all enemies so that it would still take you just as long to kill them as it will with your lower DPS.

This is all about e-peen really.

You're not going to be able to kill enemies faster with that higher DPS, so what other purpose would it have?

No, I'd say its more about a lack of understanding.

Some people see an announcement: "DPS at 60 will be about the same as 55 now" and think that is the only change that is being made. They ignore statements like "We're bringing the curve back in line with what we planned", which proves that there will still be a progression, ie: that a L60 is still noticeably more powerful than a L55. And they assume that every other part of game balance is remaining, ignoring the statements about all the mobs difficulty/hitpoints/armor being adjusted to make lower level mobs easier to take down, while retaining the difficulty of L50-55 mobs.

If you actually look at all the information, then its pretty clear: They're doing a slight damage re-scale. No one is losing any power. No one is stopping progression.

Yes, numbers are lowering, but they're just numbers and if you're attached to the "I do 50,289 DPS!" then you're likely not a very good player anyway. Good players know that its not the DPS that ultimately matters, but the time-to-kill of particular targets.

They're lowering the DPS. They're keeping the same time-to-kill for end-game stuff, and reducing it at lower levels.
