Chiricahua
It's on Corellia. I am a returning player. Yeah I saw the youtube videos about how to defeat him. When I got fully healed by him - I successfully did mind snap to interrupt his bringing down the cave ceiling. But, when I ran behind the rocks and he followed, I couldn't attack him. Seems the devs caught on to that trick. Also, when entering the cave the first time, I couldn't use force lift or any attacks on him. I had to use the ladder to exit the cave, and then reenter. The only thing I can think of doing is grouping with someone to take him down. Thinking about skipping this mission until later. Oh, is there a quick terminal or taxi closer? It's a long road trip to get to that silly cave.
Jrr_hypernova
It's an easy fight if you interrupt his instakill so you really shouldn't have an issue soloing him have you tried employing violence? Oh if you have any legacy abilltys use them.
Merouk
It's a tough fight. You need to be well geared for it, because you need enough DPS to bring him down and enough endurance to survive his attacks. Interrupts are critical, as you've figured out already. I think I had the same entry bugs as you; I remember dying and reviving. I was DPS-specced Sage, and the only companion that worked was the healer, Tharan Cedrex (fully outfitted). First Son was also a DPS Sage, so basically we traded blow for blow, with Tharan healing me to offset the First Son's large amounts of health. Managed to out-DPS him slightly, and eventually win. Chiricahua
I finally soloed it, and just finished the quest. The key is to use mind snap to keep him from bringing down the cave. Then after he heals you, pour on the dps. I used a fortitude stim and my standard self heal. I am moderately geared. Have good armor - not great. I had to reset my skill tree also to add two points to armor giving me 10% more protection.
