Vazili
With the implementation of Legacy storage modules, I'd like to see Bioware take the next bold step of eliminating character restricted commendations. It makes far more sense to me that everyone on my legacy can contribute to a pool of 500 or 1000 planetary commendations instead of 100 each. I can still buy the gear with each individual character and then ship it all to one of my other characters (The fast leveling makes this almost required at this point.), so why can't I just have a giant pool that anyone in my legacy can draw from? This goes for Basic, Classic, and Elite commendations as well. I already went through the struggle of being poorly geared with my first 55, why can't I use my well geared 55 to grind out commendations to help my newly minted 55 have an easier time? Why force me to struggle needlessly again? I think a system like this would greatly ease things that I can already do, but are just a pain in the butt. Like trading commendation gear between characters. Edited October 28, 2014 by Vazili Grammar and Spelling

Lindraskada
was thinking about something similair the other day point i reached was Legacy Total = Base Total (say 200) + 100 * each lvl 55 character so if you have 5 55s.. you get ; 200 + 100*5 = 750 for your legacy and i would add PVP comms to this aswell for the same reason, as once you get all the gear and cap the comms, why bother playing that toon ? Like trading commendation gear between characters. You already can use your well geared 55 to gear your new 55. You can earn the comms on your well geared 55, purchase gear (or mods), remove mods if necessary, send mods to your new 55 using legacy gear. Voila!! The current system involves credit sinks. Legacy comms would defeat this purpose and allow a player to bypass those credit sinks when sending commendation gear to alts.

The last time I checked 200 + 100*5= 700 NOT 750. IF they implement legacy commendations (and I hope they do not), the legacy cap should be uniform and not based on the number of characters. IMO, if you want to maintain the ability to earn more commendations, then the commendations should remain on a per character basis.

Legacy comms would defeat this purpose and allow a player to bypass those credit sinks when sending commendation gear to alts. I'm talking more about planetary commendations. But I support expanding it to other commendations as well. The process you just described illustrates my point perfectly. It's already possible, it's just stupidly convoluted. Why make us go through that rigmarole? If your justification is that it's a credit sink, that's somewhat ridiculous. Pulling out a level 55 mod costs around 10k per mod. So you're looking at a total cost of 250k per armor set. Or less than one days worth of dailies. What major difference does that make? And, more to the point, if the only concern is that you have to pay for it, why not make the system where I can pay credits to have a courier droid or something take the armor to someone else in my legacy. Or, add a credit cost to the gear from the vendor in addition to the commendation cost and have all gear bind to legacy. My suggestion isn't that people shouldn't have to work for the gear, it's that systems should be streamlined for ease of transfer between legacy characters. I should have to waste time pulling mods out of gear, putting them in new gear, taking them out of that gear and putting them in the final set in addition to mailing them piece by piece just to exchange gear between legacy characters. That is a convoluted system that does nothing except get in the way of what should be an easy transfer. Edited October 28, 2014 by Vazili
