Smuggler end story

Hi!

So I was a little confused about the end of the smuggler story and couldn't find the answers to my questions online, was hoping someone on here could answer them.

So I always look up the end of a story in swtor a mission or two in advance so I can think about my decision and not just clicking something and regretting it later.

From what is a you can either become a republic privateer again or become the most famous pirate king of all time. My questions are 1. If you choose the light side option do you still command your fleet or do they disperse. 2. Does the republic write you off as a villain in the dark side ending, or do they treat you like a "necessary evil"?

Thank you for those who answer.

I don't think you get to keep it either way. I remember one of the captains saying something about how much work it took to get them to work together as a fleet, and without the Voidwolf to hold it all together they would end up disbanding anyway.

You should put your post in spoiler tags so you don't accidentally spoil the story for anyone.

;)

To be fair, if someone comes into a thread called "Smuggler end story" and doesn't expect spoilers then they deserve what they get.

Yeah I also saw that. But in the light side story Risha says something along the lines of getting port nowhere up and running as well as running the station and handling your finances. As well as Gus saying "only you could make taking over the criminal underworld a medal worthy event" or something along those lines. In the dark side choice, ivory takes over (if you spared him on belsavis and took him onto your ship) and would proudly become the face of your operations and your lieutenant. So you probably lose the fleet either way but depending on your end game choice will decide the size of your empire. Apparently, you just aren't as tough as the Voidwolf, who could make the pirates all focus on the Republic. If you choose "I WANNA BE A PIRATE KING/QUEEN!" then you have to allow them to act like real pirates, not privateers.

But you will never get away from the Republic. You are a Republic character. They will FIND you. And you are still the ONLY ONE who can save them.

Your contact is blissfully ignorant, but apparently the entire underworld knows. Logically, SIS finds out, even if the Jedi don't. They love their underworld contacts, and you keep agreeing to do things for them! Even if you tried to the right thing, they'd just break up into smaller pirate fleets. I assumed they decided that having a 'friendly' pirate lord was better than having no in at all.

It makes me sad tho :( that we get no title for it. 'Pirate Captain/King/Queen/Lord'? I'd take it!

I thought being a "pirate king/queen" was kind of a given in the story, although there were extremely few ways it actually manifested itself beyond the ending of the voidwolf arc. Ive never really liked it how the stories have no visible effects after they are over. My sorcerer never attended a single dark council session etc. Kind of like how old pc games used to have not even a cutscene at the end, just "game over" text. Really sad and non-immersive.

Aha. So that's what happens to him. When I did a dark side run some weeks ago, I chose the wrong answer again on Belsavis and didn't get Ivory on my ship (as I hoped). /facepalm@myself Now I know at least his purpose.

As for the dark side end: I can't even travel to point nowhere anymore. It's not on my starmap after chapter 3. I was hoping to at least see certain faces there. Quite disappointing.

Each of the classes should have had a place they could go and get class-specific goodies, talk to some of the NPCs, etc. Point Nowhere, Mandalore's ship, the Dark Council or Jedi Council chamber, etc.
