Angedechu
After six loyal years, my desktop died last week. Motivated by the desire to experiment a certain upcoming Bioware with a character that no one excepts, I got all out for the replacement, purchasing a somewhat gorgeous (if overpriced) machine with an I7 processor, a big ge-force, 12 gigs of ram, and so forth. (The rig, obviously, would make TOR much more enjoyable for me. As you can get, a six years old machine provided a rather spartan gaming experience) There is however a very, very, very devastatating issue I have. In a rather commendable and logical way, the desktop have several HDs. One for backup, one for OS and a rather large 2TO ''data drive''. ''That certain game'' was installed without much issue on the non C:/ drive, same as my huge collection of STEAM games (my ISP provider will have discovered that ''illimited internet'' is not a figure of speech for me...") and most o my PC games, But I can't install TOR on the E: drive. This is terrible issue for me, as my C: drive only have 100 gigs, and 60-70 of them are taken by the OS system and basic programs. I'm desperately and genuinely seeking a way to install the game on the E: drive.
Angedechu
I must realy insist on this, as I can't play the game at all on the C: drive.
Jerba
Not sure if I understand your issue correctly, but the game is not really installed in a common sense. You can just move the game folder into another location, even onto another drive, and the game will still work correctly. You may need to update your Desktop shortcuts though to point to the new location. Note that there are certain files, like your Interfaces, combat logs and screenshots which are always stored on the C: drive and it is (nearly) impossible to change that. I recently came back to the game, a few days ago. Since I'd been gone I had replaced a few parts on my rig, including the MOBO and CPU. After 3 days trying to re-download the game, and still under 73% finished, I was about to give up. Until I remembered I still had the client on another hard drive. I opened the launcher from that folder and BAM....."updating!" After everything was updated I copied the game folder to my main game drive, and everything works perfect. I would suggest taking the drive that your game is still on and hooking it up to the new PC and then moving the folder to said new PC. It should work just fine
MillionsKNives
When you go through the installer it asks you where you want to install the game. You can just pick your E: drive. I'm not understanding what the problem is.
LeJarC
I'm desperately and genuinely seeking a way to install the game on the E: drive. Unless you have a different installer than I have, did you try the custom installation option? After you get to the License Agreement where you have to select "I accept ..." the next page asks if you want to perform an Express Install or Custom Install. If you select Custom, the next page allows you to select where you'd like to install to. At least that is what the installer offers me as choices...doesn't yours give you these options ?
