This class feels too good.

I've started a sage run after finishing marauder run.

I'm stunned at how easy it is to beat PvE contents. sage has guard/speed boost/healing/dps/many CC abilities and I can engage even 3 groups of enemies to overpower them easily.

When I playing Marauder, engaging 2 groups of enemies usually meant death because I could only focus on one enemy at a time, no healing, not enough CC, and no guarding abilities.

Is this just me, or is sage/sorc really this good? How does Sage fare in PvP compared to Marauder? I have not PvPed with sage yet, but in PvE it feels as though its dps is not even much worse compared to marauder despite its versatility. I first wanted to main marauder because I like melee dps class, but when I strarted a sage run it just feels like so much better a class in comparison.

I'm a noob so feel free to enlighten me. :D

I agree to a point.

I found dual wielding "warriors" really really really suck in PvE until you get a healing companion. but the tank warriors pretty much breeze through PvE regardless of who their companions are.

And yes, the sorc steamrolls PvE; pure damage or healer, it doesn't matter, the sorc will steamroll it

In PvP it depends on the map and who you're against. Generally in maps that allow sniping/long distance combat with poor sight lines the sorc can be devastating, the more open the pvp map, the less effective the sorc gets, and frankly i'd probably prefer a dual light saber "warrior" over a sorc on one of those maps.

I feel the opposite. As a sage I hate small cramped maps where its harder to kite. Open maps gives so much more freedom. But maybe it's just me.

the tank classes - even in dps specs with dps gear - will kill and level slower than a sorc/sage. all classes will.

because no other class has the on-demand aoe of a sorc/sage while giving up NOTHING in the single target department.
