RicoZaid
I’m only 37 on my Healing Sage but I’ve messed with the TK, Balance and Heal specs a bit. I was just wondering what is the optimal PvE attack chain for Healing Sage? (I run the melee tank companion, highly under-geared ) My current set up is this, advice appreciated: Force Armor 2x Recharge Force Disturbance (toughest target) Project (toughest target) TK Throw (toughest target) Put Weaken Mind on all targets Start healing Force Armor again Some thoughts: For me the most fun is the Heal spec because I don’t have to stand around watching for procs in my attack chains, I just attack with the power that works best in the situation. I do have to manage heals and shields but I prefer that monitoring vs monitoring targets. This also allows me to the freedom to drop in Double Strike/Saber Strike when TK Throw or Project are on cool down which is super fun. It’s also pretty fun juggling force at the sacrifice of health Glad I finally started on my sage Thanks!
Corran
you dont watch for procs as tk/lightning. shield you and companion send (tank) companion open with chain lightning as it's running to the mob(s) affliction thundering blast instant chain lightning - 100% procs after tb lightning strike 100% chance proc's faster force lighning so use it two more lightning strikes (refresh affliction) thundering blast usually dead if it's a silver. repeat the above refreshing affliction if it's a gold. no "waiting" or "watching" for procs, they always happen at the same time doing the above. I have a 55 sorc and 55 sage.

Ramalina
The previous poster didn't read the "in heal spec." If you're healing specced you NEVER get offensive procs on your offensive capabilities. The first thing at you level is to get yourself and the companion you use fairly well geared if you can. Try to have the "requires level xx" on the armor stats to be with 5 levels of your current level, and not more than 10 levels out of date. For tough single targets gold or class quest bosses: force armor yourself force armor companion send companion to attack cast mind crush weaken mind rejuvenate companion telekinetic throw on cooldown project as force regen allows keep mind crush and weaken mind up on target. disturbance if you have spare time after all of that, or substitute for project if project is using to much force. Also heal your companion as needed. For groups of mobs the fast way is to level until you get your melee dps companion, then gear it, order it to attack, and cast Forcequake. Be careful though, she has a knockback ability that can cause trouble with aggroing other groups of mobs if you don't turn it off (or position very carefully). Prior to getting Nadia and forcequake, dealing with groups is similar to the single target list but I wouldn't bother with mind crush and weaken mind except on gold mobs or very tanky silver mobs. Weaker targets will just die before the dots do much damage. If your companion is taking a lot of damage at the beginning of the pull, use project on one of the weaker mobs, as that will stun it for a few seconds and cut damage to your companion down. From a total damage taken point of view it's actually best to throw DOTs on the strongest mob and then switch to kill the weak ones quickly while your companion tanks the group. You use less resources healing your companion that way, so you have less time spent regenerating force between groups.

Ramalina
He asked: I was just wondering what is the optimal PvE attack chain for Healing Sage? (I run the melee tank companion, highly under-geared ) You replied instant chain lightning - 100% procs after tb lightning strike 100% chance proc's faster force lighning so use it sage. I pointed out, that it's very difficult to use deep TK talents when in healing spec. Unless you know something very interesting about how to get an extra 20 or 30 talent points, I'm not the one who needs to read more carefully. Corran
I For me the most fun is the Heal spec because I don’t have to stand around watching for procs in my attack chains, So you didn't just skip this line in the OP once, you skipped it a second time? note the first line in my first post says: you dont watch for procs as tk/lightning. . Really now. If you are still in school you should break yourself of this habit. Edited October 29, 2014 by Corran
