GFreeGamer
I mean, there's nothing like happening to make me die a little on the inside. Honestly, it's the first time this has happened to me, and most of the time it helps me to just move to the left and teleport over if Brontes fires in the other direction so I always do it, but this was just sad. Luckily, it's not a common thing, but just fyi Bioware, in case you were intending on making Phasewalk a big deal in 3.0...

Evolixe
It happens. Don't rely on it there, just save force speed. You can use it to get to the second hand shield faster though.
GFreeGamer
It happens. Don't rely on it there, just save force speed. You can use it to get to the second hand shield faster though. Well it's never done that before and usually it's pretty useful and looks like . I still get to save Speed for the second droid, but I get to plant my Breach on something to help my chances of getting my Spinning Strike procs and waiting to get a confirmation on which direction the beam is gonna go. I get to start on the finger that's closest to where the second hand will be during the burn phase and it'll come off cooldown before I get knocked back. This doesn't apply if the beam goes the usual direction and I use the pre-planted phasewalk to jump from thid last to second last droid, so I'd need to right-click phasewalk off or let it expire. Edit: Mind you, I used to have problems when I misjudged the 60m distance but once I got it down, it was pretty helpful. Though in my OP, since phasewalk actually gets put on cooldown, it means the game actually reads me as teleported. That's what made me so confused. Evolixe
Wait, why do you even play balance at brontes? Infiltration is undoubtfully the better spec there... In any case I don't do 3.2k DPS over the entire course of the fight with a 3.7k+ DPS burn in Balance (Had spikes as high as 4.2).. Restoman
Same thing happened to me yesterday on voidstar (fresh sin so dunno if it's new bug), phase walked to grab the medpac and guess what - got ported back right away and killed. thought it was travel time or animation of skills (like vicious throw) but now that u post the video... Nah it's a bug that has been around since the GSF patch. And it's very annoying. Thankfully it's not very frequent.

Because I just do more damage with it despite the theory and practices of others showing otherwise. It's the spec I'm better at, no real issue than preference. Optimally, I'd rather go Tank, place a healing Phasewalk, respec to Infiltration for the fight, then respec in the 10 second Supremacy cast to Balance. Either way, not related to the thread, let's not have that discussion now. I don't want to get started on that debate. Edit: Oh just remembered why. My guild has me taunt between stacks 1-3 so I can't be behind her. The Vanguard DPS taunts from 4-7 stacks. The healers prefer it this way so they can focus their healing. GFreeGamer
What.. why And yeah, I suppose if infiltration doesn't work for you.. It IS better though. Because apparently we ain't squishy =P It just works for my team somehow. I don't doubt it. I'm not horrible at it, and I love how you can bug it out when you stealth out before the droid phase and make it such that each droid being killed sends you out of combat and gives you Force Potency every other droid. #op #winning
Aelanis
What.. why And yeah, I suppose if infiltration doesn't work for you.. It IS better though. It forces Brontes into a particular spot and holds her there, which can make things somewhat less frustrating for the melee, and it does focus the damage on one person to simplify the healing. In addition, he can taunt and immediately threat drop, and he'll still have the boss for 6 seconds along with a 60% damage taken reduced buff because he's stunned for the entire time he's taking damage, which mitigates a ton of damage. Would he use his AoE taunt right before he was stunned?
GFreeGamer
60%? Would he use his AoE taunt right before he was stunned? Yes, I taunt while she shoots the tank at the start of the burn phase. So I take the second and third strikes (she'll pick me up twice in succession), then she'll usually pick up the Sentinel or Gunslinger (using Parsec's Raid Threat table to ensure they use a defensive cooldown prior to being picked up) and I might take the fifth (depending on my health) pick up before we get to four stacks and the Vangaurd DPS takes over taunting. Using a threat table tells you who she'll pick up next as her attack lowers the target's threat. Edited October 23, 2014 by GFreeGamer
Evolixe
I guess if you are having issues that is something you could do. Personally., had the boss on farm for way too long to bother with circusacts like that. Hell I generally drop threat after the tank gets pushed and completely reset it after the one that follows Edited October 23, 2014 by Evolixe
