I think it would be a good idea to link the lore objects somehow or when you find one, have an option to play video. I had to hunt on the website, and game across the archives as is, so its not likely many know its there. I also think it would be a cool cartel feature to add for strongholds. I think there could simply be holoterminals on capital worlds, would make sense to me. For republic it's pretty simple (a Jedi is talking), just put it in some conference room of Senate Tower. But yeah, ideally if you want to implement history, then a holo statue would be idea to get attention. It might be strange though to see it in every city on every world. I would like to see a crashed speeder or something, and have it show some kind of story. Once you unlock so many lore objects of a specific kind, related to that story, you get a quest of some sort.
