dundeejedi
Ok just encountered this yesterday with my new sniper, so it's probably a very noobish question that's been answered before, but i noticed my sniper can take blaster rifles too? If im using orange weapons that are fully modable is there any difference between the 2 different types (sniper/blaster rifles) eg DPS, Range etc that is outwith what armouring/mod/enh i stick in it? Or is it purely cosmetic? Sorry if this has been asked a hundred times before.
Eternalnight
For the billionth time. A sniper rifle has 20% more weapon damage than a normal blaster rifle with same level barrel Again and again, look at the mirror classes. Normal blaster rifle = 1 Blaster pistol (same average damage) Sniper rifle = dualwielding 2 blaster pistols Also some abilities require it

Got to get that compensation factor.

(with obvious drawbacks of course). Thanks for taking the time to correct me with your non arrogant /rude response.
DogeDandolo
The reason blaster rifles are still available for snipers is a) it makes little sense that marksman training would make you forget how to use "normal" rifles and b) to alleviate gearing issues, since sniper rifles are relatively rare world drops (and, of course, many people will not be aware that they can use the equipment kit they get when picking their AC to get a sniper rifle). TBH I wish I hadn't bloody bothered. Out of the 3 responders 2 of them-Eternalnight and Pquadro were obnoxious and rude in their response. Does that make you feel big guys? Good for you! I can't tell you what i really think of you because there are kids that come on here (actually probably you 2) and I don't want them to see foul language. I don't know where else i can go for help with issues but it certainly wont be back here.

h_scott_a
You will always be able to use the weapon skills from your base class (lvls 1-10) but if after choosing an advanced class at level 10 you learn a new weapon skill, it is best to use that particular weapon type. In some cases it will do better damage but there will always be abilities in your advanced class that require that weapon type equipped in order to use them. DogeDandolo
So you come here, open a useless thread, we give you an answer and you are also upset about the tone? Pssst It's a perfectly valid question, mate. Even if it wasn't, being rude about it doesn't endear yourself or the community to anyone.

Pssst That's hilarious... that's like saying "I gave you an answer and insulted your whole family while doing it, why are you complaining about my tone?" Of course tone matters.
