Biker_Nuts
Is there some where that can tell me what it is that my companions are? I do not mean like range DPS or melee DPS. I want to know what it is that they do like as in My Juggernaut has Jaesa as a apprentice, I am assuming she is a Inquisitor/Assassin. Is there a list that tells you that? Thanks for the answers in advanced.

You could try reading the Codex entries for your companions, but I can't promise anything.

Any companion that uses a melee weapon and has aim as its main stat is a great example (and there are a LOT of those ). And again few of their abilities fit into a specific AC. Lastly, if you are looking to apply class limited gear to a companion it will not work.

They've taken a lot of liberties with the companions instead of just placing them in one of the AC's, which is great. Jaesa for instance wears light armor and wields a double-bladed saber, yet she has a leap and a Ravage-type move (both of which are Knight/Warrior moves). Makes the gameplay much more varied and fun
Eternalnight
Companions do not have class like player characters. Most of them have abilities very different for any player class. As for stuff like what armor type and what primary stat they use, JUST LOOK AT WHAT GEAR THEY HAVE WHEN YOU GET THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME. Really simple. Merouk
Companions only have 8 abilities on their bar (and 4 buttons for Attack, Follow, DPS stance, Tank/Healer Stance), so they don't match any player class (you have 30+ different abilities). But if you want information, fan sites like this SWTOR Wikia site have quite a bit of stuff: what the companion likes, what his/her role is, weapons used, armor used, main stat, personal background, etc.

DogeDandolo
Not all healers are scoundrels, you know. And a scoundrel healer with a knife is an operative. Elara is essentially a mando healer. Using classes makes relatively little sense. More useful to go with main stat, recommended secondary, mainhand and offhand. Most companions using blaster rifles can also use pistols, and all companions using sniper rifles can use blaster rifles, while most who use double-bladed weapons can also use the single-bladed versions. TANKS (use Shield, Defense, Absorb and a shield generator offhand)Aim (heavy armour)Lt. Eternalnight
So mucj wrong here. The first list listing classes for all companions is utter nonsense. Many of those companions have almost nothing in common with the class they are listed as. And this second list is full of errors too: Strength (heavy armour)Broonmark (vibrosword)Khem Val (techblade)Skadge (vibrosword)Lord Scourge (lightsabre)Qyzen Fess (techblade)Bowdaar (vibrosword) First of all, out of those "melee tank" companions only Broonmar, Khem Val, Lord Scourge and Bowdaar are strenght users. Also any companion whose main stat is strength and that does not use lightsaber uses a vibrosword (ie Khem Val does not use techblade, he uses a vibrosword) Skadge, Qyzen Fess and Tanno Vik (and Scorpio) are melee tank companions whose main stat is AIm, not strength and they use Techblades. DogeDandolo
True enough. I rarely use melee companions and didn't remember correctly.
