BallisticKaine
Now everyone is gonna say that the reason they did this was because certain levels couldn't get full teams. Well since they added the 4vs4 they can go back to the old brackets of PvP. 10-19, 20-29,30-39,40-49, and 50-55. When a level 30 or so goes up against a lvl 54 it is unbalanced. Bolster doesn't work. Return the brackets back to normal
Banderal
Er... weren't the original "old brackets" 10 to 55 with no bolster (I heard that, didn't experience it), and then 10 to 54 with bolster and 55?

In 1.0 it was 10-50 then in 1.1 - 1.7 it was 10-49 and 50, and from 2.0 to current its 10-29 and 30-54 and 55. My guess is for 3.0 its going to be 10-34 and 35-59, and 60. It appears most specs will have their full basic rotation in place by level 26-30. No need then to up it beyond that.

Return the brackets back to normal The brackets were NEVER separated in such a way. Not sure how you ever got the idea that it was. Also, a level 30 can kill a level 54. I do it all the time in lowbies. Not the games fault that some people are bad.
teclado
I think 30-54 is fine. You have some small advantages as a 54, but not much. I think what we have now is about as optimal as it's going to get in terms of balance and queue times. I'll use a balance sage as an example. As a level 30 balance sage, you are lacking the following abilities:- Force Quake (AOE)- Rescue (friendly pull)- Revival (Rez an ally)- Force Barrier Your skill tree might look something like this. With that skill tree, from 30-55, I would add points that would grant the following:- Increased damage to Telekinetic throw, FiB- Longer duration of mind crush- DoTs cannot be cleansed- Less damage taken while stunned- Better force regeneration- Sever Force- Egress (Force Speed removes movement impairing effects) Rescue is highly useful in huttball and force quake can be useful when preventing node caps. Force barrier is nice, not a deal breaker. Overall, I'd say it's a pretty minimal advantage. Edited October 8, 2014 by teclado

You must unlearn what you have learned. There are no more of that 3 point skill crap. When you get a talent or utility you get it at its full power. And the former level 46 capstone powers will be granted at 26. Thus by 30 most folks will have their basic rotation in place and can probably hang with high levels with sufficient bolster. Banderal
- Revival (Rez an ally) <derail thread warning!> Does anyone ever use this? I didn't even know if it would work in PvP way back when I first saw it show up as an ability. Seems like, even if I thought about using it, the person who just died has already clicked the button to respawn anyway. Maybe that's just PUGs? Maybe you (horrendously evil ) premade teams use it or something? Rescue is highly useful in huttball... Also in AHG, to do just what the name implies. [Edit - oh, and just to have something on topic - I agree with all the people that say the brackets are fine. As a level 10 I might feel a *bit* less useful, but knowing how to watch a door/turret and call incs is a skill I get at level 1 - and that's one of the most useful skills you can have in PvP.] Edited October 8, 2014 by Banderal
t-darko
. . . My guess is for 3.0 its going to be 10-34 and 35-59, and 60. Think you're spot on there, with a decreasing pvp population and a 'skilltree' that grants 'all' abilities as early as lvl 26, combine that with definite statement concerning not getting us x-server nor mixed fraction teaming, the only logical step is to decrease any perceived ability gap to be able to grant more often pops by skipping a brackett!!
