AuroraDarko
Hello all I have a level 18 shadow tank. I want to play the tank well so I have been looking at guides online. They are extremely complicated. I am not trying to earn my PhD in shadow tanking. I just want to play the class and have fun and push buttons. Is there a less complicated version of a tank guide for leveling that you have found? Please link it for me ty! Also I could use some examples of tanking if anyone wants to meet up and do some demos for me. Feel free to contact me in game on Bergeran Colony at Moonshadowmyst. Watching someone tank a heroic for example with explanations would really help me out. Thanx.
Kingsbount
http://dulfy.net/2014/01/06/swtor-darkness-assassin-tanking-class-guide/ You may want to look at this guide. It's simple enough and provide good choice for your rotations.
Aelanis
Shadow tank isn't the simplest of classes to choose, but here's a good beginner's guide: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=717351
Sarafain
At lvl 18 you're missing really every tank skill/ability. It's something they're addressing with the 3.0 changes. Currently the mitigation, gear, even rotation is set to be functionable at lvl 46ish (top of talent tree). This is pretty true of all classess/specs atm. Unfortunately if you want to become a tank it will take some time before the class feels like it plays that way. The guide on the forums is pretty good. If you compare where the skills needed appear in the talent tree to the frequency of use in the guides then you'll see more of what I mean. Keep with it though and each level look how much closer you are to having the tools you need!
