new discipline tree is that ok or not?

you know as sorc/sage we need fade out skill tree to escape from root , but since the new expansion will remove so called hybrid will this also remove this ability since fadeout is not in madness or lighting skill tree

if that so, then we are really really upset ( as sage and sorc) because that ability is important so escape when things get south

any thought?

Someone missed the stream showing off how incredibly broken sorcs will be in 3.0.

Broken in comparison to what ? That statement can't be in a vacuum, they have not showed us the capabilities of the other classes. So why is it so difficult to wait for the complete picture before passing judgments like this ?

Judging by what they gave sorcs and how the talents spread across all trees have been put into 3 utility selections... it's pretty much a safe bet that all the goodies from all the other classes are now pretty much the same thing.

ie. Assassins will probably have root break on force speed, lowered cooldown on force speed, 30 aoe reduction, 30 damage reduction while stunned, 15% movement speed, etc, etc

The one thing i'm really hoping they've done is shift taunts into the tanking Disciplines.

Remember the days when everyone had a sorc in PVP and you could not even move from all those boltz up your trumpet? In case some of you do not remember, in 3.0 BW decided to give you a reminder :D!

UNLIMITED POWER!!!!

But seriously, please wait to see what the other classes get.

Very little likelihood of that, perhaps the AoE taunt at most. They left Sorcs with Dark Heal and even made Resurgence baseline so it's not like they are linking all the healer/tank powers to those disciplines.

I think I am the only one who thinks Sorc looks like it got buffed by itself, but actually got nerfed in the meta-game.

DoTs can't be cleansed? Sorcs already got that now, so it is not really a buff. Purge is still in effect, so Force Shroud and Dodge still purge Dots.

Healer sorcs now have 15% DoT damage reduction, which they did not have before. This means Madness Sorc will actually do less damage than they do now to healer Sorcs. Now I don't know if Mercs and Operatives will also get 15% DoT damage reduction, but if they do, DoT specs will become the worse healer killing specs. DoT damage reduction + not enough burst = can't kill healers.

And Life Drain, it was doing half the damage of other attacks. Yes, it heals you for the damage dealt, so it will be good in a duel. But in competitive team PvP, with a good healer and a good tanking backing the Sorc, the weak DPS self heal is not what is needed. What is needed in competitive PvP from a DPS is maximum DPS output to take down the focus fire target, and that means attacks with strong DPS. A weak DPS attack like Life Drain will not help in attack rotation. And if all the healer classes get to pick 15% DoT reduction, I think Madness Sorc may lose its spot in competitive PvP as a DPS.

What I am saying it, it is too early to get happy or cry doom. We got to look at every class and the meta-game to really know who gets shafted and who gets buff in the end.

Wait a minute? Are you talking about the right tree for sages and sorcs, balance /madness / aka OP as F*ck where tab dotting gives you millions of damage? 'I think madness sorc may lose its spot in competitive PVP as DPS' is probably the best thing I have read all day given what I said in the beginning of my post :D. No s*it it is a nerf, they deserve to be nerfed they are not okay! Proof of BW doing class (un) balance again :cool::cool:.
