Please introduce dual spec ASAP

For one very important reason, it would solve the looking for healer problem.

1. Specing heals isn't enough of a boost to healing to justify it as your only spec.

2. You tend to spend 90% of the game soloing missions, and having only a heal spec slows the game down quite a bit.

3. Constantly respecing isn't really a viable option long term for many reasons.

This game really could benefit from dual spec.

People saying they don't want dual spec are extremely unaware of our reasoning.

I am a sorcerer, leveling up I am madness. But I wouldn't mind being a healer for warzones and flashpoints, however it's costing 20k+ credits now and it will keep on increasing. Being able to switch to heals would be a godsend it's necessary in this time.

No.

I like rolling with my healer in my party through all missions. We roll a lot of characters together - DPS + DPS, DPS + Heals, Tank + Heals, Etc. It makes the game easier AND more fun to see both sides of our stories as well as how our characters interact in the quest content.

Not only that, but we duo Heroic 4-man's all the time.

Instead of ************ about something that isn't necessary, make some friends and play the **** game.

With my Mercenary healer, I find a lot of the healing talents actually really boost my healing capabilities. Being able to give everyone 15% more healing and 10% damage reduction at the same time with an AOE heal is amazing. However I do agree that a lot of the talents don't really give much noticeable benefit. But the ones that do are very useful.

I have spent about 1% of the game total outside of a group. Even when friends/guildies aren't on, I'll just whisper randoms walking around and ask them if they wanna quest together. If you're soloing and don't want to, it's very easy to fix. Well, unless you're one of the unlucky few on a light population server.

Agreed, it's not. But nobody said you had to respec

Not my place to say whether it could or couldn't. All I know is right now me and all of my friends are enjoying it without the dual spec. If they add it and the game becomes mroe enjoyable for us, that's good too.

My thoughts in orange.

Simple---they are selfish.

They have no need for dual spec so they see no reason to let you have dual spec.

Not really selfish. A lot of us just don't want it in for their own reason - one being that it takes away from some of the rare diversity we see (What's the point of choosing at level 10 if we can just switch? That's one of the 'Dual-Specs' people want to see), or that it also affects the development time the developers put in.

There are far more important things than LFG/Dungoun Finder/Dual Spec that this game needs.

^ There's a difference between being able to switch between two talent builds within the same AC, and switching between two ACs.

The first is what everyone refers to when they say "dual spec".

It will happen eventually. Bend down and tuck your head between your legs, because it's coming. Deal with it.

The second won't. ACs will remain permanent.

Pretty much this. I don't care if you have the ability to change your AC skill points on a whim. Just don't let us change ACs, let that be diverse.

Doesn't really affect me if it comes. Like I said, I'd prefer if they spent more time on things that actually matter. :p Your dual spec system, regardless if it comes, is as pointless as LFG systems.

Though I used to play FFXI. That game was pretty much one giant dual-spec, lol.

If more players were choosing to go tank or healer, there wouldn't be much need for dual spec, but the vast majority of people are going DPS in order to more easily blast their way to the level cap.

I'm one of those people who would gladly heal on my Commando and tank on my Assassin, but respecs are expensive (especially when you're saving for your speeder) and I'm not sure I want to lose my combat effectiveness in 95% of the game to heal better for the other 5% of the game.

If a full-blown dual spec feature is too much, maybe you can purchase temporary respecs for group content? Kind of like a spec rental. Go to the trainer, respec into a tank or healer, do the group content, and if you make it back to the trainer and revert your respec within 6 hours it only charges you for the first respec.

Kind of a silly solution but it's not as extreme as a dual spec feature which should please the people who think more freedom is a bad thing.

SERIOUSLY?!?!?! Dual spec takes away from diversity????????????????????

What am I reading.

This isn't a freaking single player rpg where whatever spec you take doesn't matter because everything works.
