"A Deadly Force Returns" Visual Hints

Hello everyone. ;)

So I was basically rewatching the teaser yet again, side by side with some old Galactic Timeline videos and I noticed this in one of them. It's a spear used by the Massassi warriors, fairly similar to the one seen in the latest teaser. Here's another one from the same Galactic Timeline video.

To anyone wondering who or what the Massassi are...

Arriving on Yavin 4, Ovair and Gyt discovered that Naga Sadow's twisted Massassi warriors had survived the centuries. The Massassi originated as a Sith sup-species, forming the backbone of the earlier Sith armies.

The screenshots above are taken from "The Exar Kun War" Galactic Timeline video, which chronicles Exar-Kun's travel to Yavin 4, after the spirit of Freedon Nadd sent him there. Below, you'll find the screenshots posted separately, plus the Galactic Timeline video in question.

In addition, I'll post the link to another Galactic Timeline video which has a fairly interesting story as well.

Enjoy. :D

Yes, the spears certainly do look like the massassi ones.

But the axes look very vibro-axe, and not the primitive axes the massassi used.

I'm still 50/50 when it comes to if it's Dxun or Yavin IV.

I guess we'll see.

(also, don't forget that the massassi existed on Korriban and other sith worlds too, so the spear design might not be a solid indication of Yavin IV)

The Massassi never got there though. At least as far as I'm aware.

It seems unlikely Revan would carry spears around.

It's more in reference to the axes that someone brought up, which is why I said why couldn't they have both Yavin and Dxun.

The Massassi used axes as well but not exactly identical to the ones seen in the teaser. (1)

Then again, we don't get to see axes in the Galactic Timeline videos, so it's not impossible for Bioware to adopt a more free-style approach on those.

I went to check Wookieepedia ( :p ) since I couldn't remember for sure how many of the moons for the planet Yavin were habitable. I noticed this funny bit of info there...

The Yavin system was conquered by the Rakata during the reign of their Infinite Empire, but later abandoned.

It is fair to assume that the Infinite Empire got almost everywhere but ironically enough, Onderon or Dxun are not included apparently.

They didn't exist on Dxun however.

No, but the spear design isn't 100% certain a Massassi design just because it's similar to the images.

So it could be Dxun beast rider spears or something like that.

Or just any other spear that someone put in a tomb on Dxun really.

If it's even Dxun.

It could be a tomb on Korriban not yet explored.

It could be a tomb on Ziost.

Could be anywhere really.

All we have right now are some spears that may or may not be massassi spears, but we also have some axes that don't look at all like the massassi axes.

It certainly isn't coincidental.

You missed what I said earlier:

I doubt it's coincidental either.
