Ranked Night(s) starting 7/1 (Now With Double Comms)

Hopefully your wallets have recovered from the Steam Summer Sale, because its time for double ranked comms for the next three weeks. Ranked itself has been in a bit of a lull so its time for everyone to get back on that horse and get some comms, twice as fast. There seemed to be a general consensus that Tuesdays weren't a particularly good day, but Wednesdays and Thursdays were. Assuming a 9 PM start time, lets hear from some of our ranked teams out there regarding good times for them to queue. We look forward to hearing from our other big PvP guilds like Postmortem, Knights of Havoc, Resurgum and anyone else looking to join in the fun. A special shout out to Assimilation for being the only group to queue the last two weeks.

 

Proposed Date and Start Time:

 

Wednesday July 2nd - 9 PM EST

Thursday July 3rd - 9 PM EST

 

We're likely good to run on Tuesday July 1st, however the response the last time we tried was minimal. So going with Wednesday and Thursday.

yo dawg i heard caroth said hes gonna farm you guys off the server. did you guys even manage to take a round off of him? i severely doubt it since hes clearly the best player in this game how could you guys even stay in the same instance as him and all of his glory? how many matches did they farm you for? ;)

A disappointing night for us tonight, lost Stalkuh after two matches due to weather knocking out his power. We'll definitely be queueing for ranked next Wed/Thurs, but we're open to other suggestions. Hope to hear from Postmortem as they've had an increased presence on the server as of late. Props to Resurgum for queueing. Looking forward to more games.

Regrettably couldn't queue tonight due to inability to get in touch with our healers. Lets cement these days for this upcoming week:

We are open to other nights, but lets plan on those right now.

We had some good matches, and with the composition we had (in contrast to the more competitive arena past) on PoT5, it was the best we could manage. I, however, don't recall who you are, or why you're trying to blatantly mock me? :)

  • I don't tolerate unprecedented insults or misguided spats towards friends or kin. It's a game, 100% not necessary.


  • I'll respect all players until they try to put on an era of superiority towards decent people they'll never have the chance to meet or get to know due to their oblivious, haughty nature.


  • If I need to defend my stance, I will.


  • I'm competitive (If you can find better, show me, I implore you in all honesty).

Regardless, I hope to see you guys around for the next month; I'll be done after August due to college starting up.

well, I guess since we're doing introductions and the sort, I'm Cinerous, Cinerjizz, and Versace.

 

I play all classes atm, not really sure what I main tbh, but some of my past achievements are

 

But on my sniper I am ranked 2 worldwide for team ranked at the time of posting (Blastdude from Bastion and I are having a close race for the number 1 spot and we're normally back and forth)

 

Last season for team ranked I mained an operative healer

http://imgur.com/WuuqM43 obviously my solo rating is pretty poor but as soon as i hit 55 and thought that I knew how to operative heal i queued solo ranked and started out w/ a sub 1k rating so it was a struggle getting it anywhere stuck w/ other sub 1k rating ppl on your team, but once i got good at operative healing i started doing team ranked and stopped solo ranked

most of those SS are from around jan-march after that I kinda stopped taking SS on my operative cuz 3k got boring for me, I think the most I ever did in a team ranked match was 3250 or so, but again I played with or against Itchy(Count Crotchula as you would have known him) and Scold a lot when I was playing my operative a lot so we were all consistently putting out those kinds of numbers so i stopped taking SSs.

A few things about myself, I obviously play on pot5 mostly, but a few friends of mine in LD asked me to play with them as well, I was the original healer for the LD arena team but they wanted to play imp side so I had to level an operative which took me forever, and due to my internet quality I am normally not on before maybe 10 PM est

 

When I hear of people who talk a lot of trash about how theyre going to farm people in team ranked, then they actually dont follow through on it, I generally get a decent laugh (especially on a pve server where everyone is kidna just queuing for funsies)

 

Im a swell guy i enjoy long walks on the beaches and long emotional heart to hearts. Joking aside im generally pretty cool w/ ppl who dont have major attitude issues or an undeserved ego, I enjoy a bit of forum or in game trolling from time to time but when ppl come talk to me in mumble im normally pretty chill

 

I dont really "hate" on the JC ranked community for being on a pve server, but I def dont really take it serious, if my internet allows me to do 4s on JC I'm just there to have fun and play w/ friends its not really a huge deal to me

 

If someone tries to talk trash to me Ill generally flame them pretty hard b/c odds are Im a better player at this game then they are, that being said, I know i'm not THE best at any class I play (kinda my curse that I play all the classes instead of just focussing on one, blame it on the ADD?) but i also know that there are only a few ppl in the game who are most def better than me so as I said, someone tries to talk trash Ill either troll them or flame them.

 

All that being said, I really have never dealt w/ you on a personal level so I cant speak on that, but I have no issues w/ Resurgem, Physco is the man, Vrod is pretty chill, and RoastnTurkeys from pot5 was a pretty funny dude as well. I just found all the trash talk about LD that was going on pre LD-Resurgem games rather amusing and figured id throw my 2 cents for the trolololols

Hey guys, I'm Flak.

 

I've been a few other classes in the past, was Grisha on Canderous Ordo, rerolled to Flak the Scoundrel and joined LD50. After not getting any ranked time on my scoundrel I decided to roll a tanking Guardian which is probably my best known character, Cates.

After coming back to the game I went through a couple of character renames (Setac, Qates) before taking back my scoundrel's name.

Some fun facts about me and LD-Fifty and its predecessor guild Lethal Dose Fifty.

  • No I did not quit SWTOR because PoT5 was "hard", my school schedule prevented me from playing in the fall semester of last year. Bear in mind this is PST times, so add three hours. Kind of hard to be a tank for a ranked team when you're getting out of class after ranked ends.
  • No member of Lethal Dose Fifty or LD-Fifty has ever been banned for hacking, cheating or exploiting. All infractions have resulted in suspensions, and these infractions have been community driven. I.e. reported for talking ****.
  • I have never been suspended for any period of time from this game.
  • Many people think we're mean, but few have experienced what it is to be on the receiving end of so much negativity. Do we talk smack back? Yes. But we get so much of it, eventually some things have to be said.
  • Combatmedic is a teddy bear on mumble.
  • On PoT5, Lethal Dose Fifty won a little better than 2/3rds of our games and were in positive W/L ratios against all major guilds, excluding Casual. We lost to them twice and they were absolutely amazing.
  • I like large posteriors and I cannot obfuscate.

 

Finally, here is the dealio. The leadership of Lethal Dose Fifty moved on to Wildstar. There are more than a few of us who think WS isn't for us and didn't want to go, so we decided to futz around on ToR. We rerolled Imperial because the guys who started this movement decided to do something "new". I will not be running LD-Fifty the way Lethal Dose Fifty was run, because I don't have that kind of time in my life. We have more than a few of our players back with us, we also invited friends and people we respect because we'd rather be more of a fun place to login for people we know, than some balls to the wall guild. I'm here to have fun with my friends, I'm not here to get into a daily dick measuring contest with everybody on the server. GGs, lets get more ranked games going, and enjoy this game as much as we can.

I hear you, but if it isn't popping... Maybe we could organize it a little? Or if group ranked doesn't form up one night, turn it into solo? Or kickball?... I dunno, just an off the cuff question. We didn't come here for ranked, but if it's happening, we're game.

Assimilation is forming at least 1 ranked team to play, maybe 2. They will also be doing Pub Side as well. Not sure when they will start. I unfortunately will probably not be a part of it due to family life not guarenteeing a time to play.
