Well Pokket did you sign the release form to enter into this cantina? We are not responsible for any accident or incident that can harm you or your companion while you are in these premises, you know the ocassional laser blast, grumpy venosians trying to torn off one of your limbs etc etc, other than that we encourage to visit our casino section and keep your light saber always ready.

Anyways welcome to our cantina.:eek::D

By and large, mmo players are impossible to please, so don't try. Just keep your head on straight, your chin up, and remember - when herding cats, taking the fewest scratches is more important than getting all the cats where you want them.

Kinda disagree with that.

Been playing MMO for too long to know most people have good expectations and are more than willing to accept issues provided you treat them honestly.

Does not mean a few rotten apples aren't there still there's quite a gap between the former and the latter.

Now speaking specifically of SWTOR the main issue is the game has been riddled with uneven polish and bugs or features that should have been fixed years ago.

Let me parse some examples here:

  • Weapons, of more specifically sabers that get stuck out even if you aren't in combat.
  • Floating corpses
  • Companions that doesn't stay spawned
  • Impossibility to re-arrange companions skill in their quickslot bar nor put them in your bars.
  • Key bindings that doesn't transfer to new toons
  • Reporting gold farmers not putting them on ignore and not getting rid of them either
  • Friend lists aren't shared between alts
  • Half working search on the GTN
  • Poor Crafting UI
  • Tedious mods managing
  • Lack of chat bubbles
  • Boxed shadows during cut scenes
  • Draw distance limited to like 90 feet
  • Clipping gear especially head pieces and flaps
  • Removing the useless orbital stations but for a couple of story missions

Most of these could easily be fixed and yet 2.5 years after launch we are still stuck with them.

Does this mean Eric is toast?

LOL no. He not one with the Force yet like Allison and Joveth are.

:rak_03:

He's still community manager but I think this position opened up since Amber apparently received a promotion.

Hi Hillary, glad to have you on board for SWTOR :)

If I may ask one thing of you Hillary is please please feed us bits of info as you find them out. Tait is like Ari Fleisher at a press conference. He can talk to the community for 2 hours and not answer a question legitimately. Please don't be another give-us-the-run-around-bureaucrat. Work for the community and we will love you for it!

Greetings everyone!

My name is Hillary Nicole, but some of you may know me as “Pokket.” I recently joined the Bioware Austin team as their new Community Coordinator. My role will be to help maintain relationships with fan sites, streamers, guilds, and any other aspect of the SWTOR community.

To give a little history on myself, I’ve been gaming since I was a wee little child. My dad and uncle got me into online gaming when I was about 12, with Ultima Online (thanks, dad! XD). I’ve played nearly every AAA title since then and have enjoyed both PvP and raiding across many games. I’ve streamed, done youtube videos, and attended several video game conventions.

I guess it is easy to tell gaming is a passion of mine…

I look forward to sharing my passion for games with you all, and am glad to be given this opportunity here at Bioware.

Don’t hesitate to say hi, I promise I am friendly! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Cheers,

Hillary “Pokket” Nicole

I offer both congratulations and condolences ;)

Because they are caring, loving, motherly and because man healers on those skimpy outfits are just WRONG!!!!!

I was more thinking ----> (stereotypically only) because men are messy creatures and women are familiar with cleaning up behind men and restoring harmony over top of chaos. :p

That macho tank guy will go and impale himself over and over again on a Boss...and then wait for the healer to come over and clean them up and fix the boo boos. :D A male healer will just toss them an aid kit and tell them to "walk it off". :p
