Mandalore the Ultimate armor

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry but this set looks horrible and rushed

I was hoping for something more detailed looking and that screams mandalorian. This set doesn't at all, it looks so bland and dull. It's also missing the lower robes

I was hoping it would look more like this or atleast like the comic pics http://th03.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/f/2010/217/f/1/Mandalore_Artus__with_Mask_by_DoseOrdo.png

Even if the lower robe thing was limited by the engine (But Malak's set seems to disprove that theory), your first pic is not only do-able, but awesome. Especially the legs. I mean rubber tubing and kneepads? Seriously?

You first pic is reffering to Mandalore the Vindicated

Only second is Mandalore the Ultimate

PS. Here is the thread voting to redo of Mandalore the Ultimate armor:

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=743361

That thread on the PTS thing is apparently locked, cant post to it anymore. As for me, i see no issues with the armor, so what if the head tube things arent there, or that the cape looks like every other SWTOR cape? It's all bits and pixels when you get right down to it. and I know i will definately be trying to get that armor set for my Juggernaut for PvP gear, or atleast the chestplate.

i really really hope that the devs decide to put in an armor set that you have wanted for a long long time and totally screw it up.. so much so that it upsets you and makes you wish they would have never made it in the first place!!!

Yeah thread is locked :( But still this set looks horrible. Would like it to be more armored like Vindicated, instead it has the Malak looking armor and no lower capes.

Another pic

i don't think there is a single soul that likes mandalore's outfit.

I like it okay, I just think there are a couple of straightforward things they could do to make it better.

Didn't see this thread when I made my own, so just going to re-post it here:

A lot of people commenting on the previews of the new sets from the PTS have mentioned that the Mandalore the Ultimate set feels somewhat... lacking, compared to the source material.

One of the two big differences is that the comics had a second part to his cape/robes that came from his belt. You already have a "half-robe" design in sets like the upcoming Tulak Hord armor, so I would suggest adding a red version of that to the leg armor of the Mandalore set - making a closer match. (References: Image #1, Image #2, and Image #3)

The other big difference is that the in-game set has a normal cape, whereas the comics had it wrap around almost like a robe, coming forward in front of the shoulders. The way the assets in this game work, I see this as an acceptable change so you're not stuck reinventing the wheel over a relatively minor difference.

tl;dr - Normal cape is fine on the new Mandalore set, but add a half-robe (like on Tulak Hord's set) to the leg armor.

I'm sorry but SWTOR, you screwed up on Mandalore the Ultimate's Armor Set, or Te Ani'la Mand'alor in Mando'a for those who don't know. If i were SWTOR i would do a complete overhaul and do a "Classic Mandolore The Unbreakable" Armor instead or at the very least try to fix up this version since it don't look or feel as as good as like Mandolore the Preserver looked for example.

I Am Mandolore the Unbreakable and i support this message.
