That's it. I will give a CrateOMatic to EU player who will help me solve my graphics

Recommended Posts

I have a spare character transfer there so it's not a problem with crate-o-matic.

Since CS said that they're out of ideas I need to seek help someplace else.

Problems of mine:

Extremely short range of some objects appearing. Second picture is the range required for beams appearing.

Example:

http://imgur.com/a/tCg93

Watching films of youtube, people have those blue beams once they look outside through the main entrance to the Senate Building.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1lshofXBSw - @ 5:35 this lad has the beams right when he leaves the senate building and no z-fighting on the spaceport towers.

Z fighting in several instances:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jDmZfYuMrM

This lad has exactly same problems as mine:

@ 9 : 00

No, it's not a driver issue. Doesn't seem to be gpu issue, really. I switched from r9 290 to gtx 780 ti (thus increasing the cost of my TOR dedicated PC up to over 2600 euro) and I still get it, although only on the left side of the tower and sort of "squarish".

(this is really is not letting me sleep and i've got to get up early tomorrow, so mad!)

Issues are reproduced on the laptop I have at home, which leads me to believe that there might be something corrupted within my account.

Posting on General Discussion to get more attention and to give away one of my most prized possessions.

Dxdiag here. i have a monster gaming PC.

Something to note: Z-fighting ceases once AA is reduced to Low, however jagged edges makes it unplayable. On radeon I was able to disable aa ingame and force it through the driver app but it's not working with Nvidia's stuff. :/

Most likely it is your card.

Not saying your card is bad or anything, but most likely that other lad with no problems has a different card than yours. This is the only thing I can think of.

It's not your drivers or your settings or anything like that.

Might want to try a different card than the one you have (preferably ask the guy in the video what card he has)

it's an LOD issue.

Most cards have this problem.

So you're saying that newer cards would have this problem? The older videos, compared to the newer one there, which I have linked, don't seem to have it.

It's still insane because I have used two new, VERY high-end cards and both had presented lod and z fighting problems.

I have already downloaded DirectXs. 9c recommended by CS and the link a person provided above. But maybe... Where should I install / unpack this stuff to? A random place will do?

To mention again, I had this problem on the following cards:

Sapphire r9 290 Tri-X OC

MSI GTX 780 TI (meant to be best after Titan)

My laptop's Nvidia 660 mobile.

Like someone said before use above game settings to enhance. Mine only did that once after i was playing awhile. And sometimes on nova coast I fall thur the ground.

I also fall through the ground on Novare Coast - it is related to the Guardian/Jugg Force Charge bug. ^^

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=7429650#post7429650

Damn it, my PC handles Far Cry 3, Black Flag (without broken physx even Titan's cannot handle), ESO, all maxed out without a single stutter. It's bloody ready for Watch_Dogs! :/

It cant have anything to do with your gpu if you are able to reproduce the bugs on entirely different systems.

I'd try to test the hypothesis of your account somehow creating this issue. Just remove swtor from your PC, install it again and test it by using a F2P account.

My AMD r9 290x has 0 issues, I don't think it's anything to do with your card. If it's the same on your laptop, it's almost certainly NOT with the card.

I'm going to assume you've already tried reinstalling your game, repairing, running as admin, etc etc. ( If you haven't I would recommend using revo uninstaller to uninstall SWTOR and reinstalling from scratch)

You seem to think it's an account issue, have you tried creating a free to play account and looking? That would be extremely odd, but I guess it's possible.

Try to increase the distance clipping in the settings ini file.

There is a file called client_settings.ini in C:\Users\"Name of the user"\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings

Inside that file search for FarClipScale, if it doesn't exist create it and give it a value of 0.5 (for example), and then test it in game. Keep increasing that value till you get the intended result.

Sometimes... older model phones get better reception. Reason: They were built as a PHONE and only needed reception. Most new cards do 50 different things, where as some older units were a basic

2gb

undedicated

DVI or VGA

I know it sounds crazy, but think about the way cars were built from the 40s-60s. They ran forever and were indestructible. Tell me the last time you saw a brand new Benz spend more time on the road, than in the shop. ;) Downgrading to an older model card, with good specs may actually be your solution.

Sorry lads, adding farclipscale doesn't do anything. :/

Meh, I'll see if the game will be very blurry with FXAA. edit: ugly

Is there no other way to force AA than nvidia inspector? I have bad experience with 3rd party stuff like this. :[

You can also install the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) it will update some of the DirectX 9 files, it seems to help alot of people. You can download it from microsoft here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

Why almost 4 years old version?

OP, what trick you used to get long signature?

Ugh! Forcing AA thru Inspector gives me a bright border on top and left parts of the screen! Same as with CCC >.> This is not a legit solution.

http://i.imgur.com/d2hKj0x.jpg

Actually... It's not a "border", those are lights caused by bloom getting "glued" to the border of the screen. Lol omg.

Any solutions for that?

>.>

No tricks, mate. Just my desire for Jedi robes. Apparently TOR wants to get Jedi robes if it allowed me to do it without tricks.

So what's the story with the disappearing beams. Actually... Guys, can you go Coruscant and test it? I don't know, maybe they patched it in to be this way in order to increase performance?!

I never noticed it before, but I wnet to Coruscant and looked, and I was getting the same thing on the buildings, but only at certain angles. Then I turned off bloom, which I constantly have issues with it oversaturating anyhow, and it went away.

I have a Intel i-7-4770k with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 @ 1920x1080, and I run in Full Screen Windows mode, if that helps any.
