JJTEAMA Posted May 21, 2014 Share Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) The appearance changer reinstate credit use Ok for today I was there changing my character and I took notice that you are not able to use credit anymore its only cartel coins. I feel that this is a mistake because its something harder to cumulate coins then it is credit just to alter the appearance of one character please reinstate the credit in appearance changer. because then why did I spend all that time trying to accumulate credits and now they are worthless to me. but when you already pa phone died I'm in the car to market to add on feature hairstyles but different hairstyle and pay for it by usin and pay for it by using credits I have to spend more cartel coins to change your character into th I have to spend more cartel coins to change your character into that species and the character changer ? Muljo_Stpho Posted May 21, 2014 Share Posted May 21, 2014 Wait, I don't recall that ever having a credits option since it was introduced. It has always cost cartel coins to do anything with it. Of course, that has been a common complaint about it since it was introduced. And it's a pretty good reason why I have very rarely used it on any of my characters. I think I've only used it two or three times in total. (Once on day one for a full transformation plus Cathar unlock which the interface did NOT make clear that the cost of that was not included in the price they were showing me so it ended up costing about double what I expected... and then a couple other times many months later for a few small changes here or there.) It would be a lot more reasonable to consider using it from time to time if they added an option for something like... 10k for each "small" change (stuff that would cost 40 cartel coins or whatever the rate was) or 200k for a race change (instead of the 600 or 700 cartel coins), maybe? For one of the Jawa's information, though, there is/was a case where you could dropdown the payment box and you could pay with credits instead of cartel coins. I know there have been many complaints since the appearance kiosk was introduced that the only method of payment for changing appearance was CC's. And credits has been an available alternative form of payment. I have not checked it since this thread, so I do not know if this is still the case. Muljo_Stpho Posted May 27, 2014 Share Posted May 27, 2014 It appears to only apply to race unlocks, offering up the same choice of credits or cartel coins to unlock it as if you were unlocking it through the legacy menu. The appearance changes (face, hair, etc. without changing race) themselves only cost cartel coins. It looks like if you're changing to a race that you already have unlocked you can only pay it as the cartel coin fee (but additional changes beyond the race are "free" regardless of whether it's a change paid with cartel coins, an unlock paid with cartel coins, or an unlock paid with credits). LordArtemis Posted May 27, 2014 Share Posted May 27, 2014 I personally think it's ok to only charge cartel coins, but the costs are far too high. I think they should cut the costs 75 percent across the board for subs, 50 percent for preferred. I ALSO think they should add more options, like tattoos, cybernetics on ALL races, more extreme scars (like one white eye) and height options.
