Alec_Fortescue
Is there really no way to introduce x-server pvp? Not even battlegroups like in WoW? http://imgur.com/eAR8rxE http://i.imgur.com/afd8ba2.jpg Twice within a short time. Same players. Same guild (syncing queues btw). Marxxis
similar question have been asked, and the majority reason many people agree on is that the engine Bioware is using isn't cut out for Cross-server.
Alec_Fortescue
A system locking out same players to play again with one another for a certain period of time would increase the queues too much. Jesus, how could they decide on the hero in the first place?
Uber_the_Goober
Only two of the names on the enemy team are the same in each picture. This is not rare. What's the problem?

If people are saying the engine would cause issues they are morons. I am pretty sure it was BW that said the engine would cause issues or something, which is a lie. The engine is already built around instances, that is the foundation for cross server ques. If the engine was a sandbox and had no instances, then sure, the engine could be the blame, but who would want instanced PVP in sandbox anyway. Them making a cross server que system would be quite easy, and the only excuse (if you can even call it an excuse) for not doing it is either they are lazy or they don't want to lose the little money they make on server transfers, which wouldn't be really needed anymore with Xservers. DarthMaulUK
There is an easier way to fix this problem - REMOVE the Warzone restrictions on Preferred players. More and more are switching to preferred because lets face it, PvP won't be feeling the love any time soon and paying £8.99 a month to wait another 18 months for a 'new' 8v8 map is laughable. PrincessNuri
^^ good point! Lol cute attempt sneaking in a "free war zones" pitch. Much like everything else bioware won't change anything if they can get money out of it...like warzone passes. You may not buy them there are people who do plus bioware makes a chunk of change not from these passes but from subs who pay to pvp

You really think Bioware (EA) would lose enough $ from the paltry number of PvPers that this would matter to them vs the hoards of players they could potentially capture by giving away free PvP? They should seriously consider this. The money they lose from preferred players not buying warzone passes (let's face it, most use the GTN anyway) will be made up for by keeping subs happy with fresh warzone queues, so they don't drop to preferred. The counter argument is that subs will switch to preferred exactly because they can get warzones for free, but there are many other benefits to subbing that current sub won't want to lose. No of course not...PvP is necessary as much as pve...but they won't cater to pvpers to warzone freely because like you said they don't want to lose money...so they will continue to keep warzones passes on the CM for pvpers to buy or pve concentrated people like me to buy these passes to sell on GTN for the pvpers. Bioware has this locked so far so this method of removing restrictions seems improbable unfortunately. Edited May 19, 2014 by PrincessNuri

Removing PvP would certainly kill an already dead game in this case, SWTOR PvP is one of the best aspects of the game with flaws and all.
