The Great PvE Relay Race

Who : The entire Jung Ma Community (Empire Side) is welcome and encouraged to participate in the race.

What : This will be a relay race to two points, carrying a custom baton, provided by REIGN and back to the starting line

When: Sunday May 25th, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. (Pre-Race begins at 4:00 P.M., Race starts at 5:00 P.M.)

Where: Oricon Daily Area Imperial Camp

The Race

REIGN is sponsoring a Relay Race on Oricon. The race will consist of carrying a baton from the starting line, at the Imperial base camp, to the first point at the steps of the Dread tower, exchange the baton for another, then race to the Heroic area, at the steps to the Dread Palace, for another baton, and then carrying it back to the starting line. This race, is for teams of any four classes of people. The teams will be racing each other in groups of three teams at a time, in 5 minute increments. In order for your time to count, all racers must be present at each baton swap and also cross the finish line together.

For example, teams 1, 2, and 3, will start the race at 5:00. Race tams 4,5, and 6 will start at 5:05, Race teams 7,8 and 9 will start at 5:10, and so forth, until there are no more racers. This will ensure that there is no a backfill of racers waiting to exchange their batons.

This is NOT an exact map of The Course. Only to show you what we want you to do. Racers are encouraged to find their own quickest routes to each point on the map and get back to the starting line.

The Obstacles

What would a daily area be without a little PvP mixed in? So, not only is this a race, but an obstacle course as well. Lying in wait, along the track, will be four teams of two ambushers per team, waiting to surprise the teams of racers. They will attempt to stop you, derail you, and send you off course. They will be PvP geared and waiting to surprise the racers.

Prizes and Entry Fees

The Entry Fee for each team of racers will be 400,000 credits, or 100,000 per racer. There will be no individual racers as this is a race of teams. Entry fees should be sent via in-game mail to either Anvindr or Karisa. On the day of the race, both will be available for pre-race entry fees, until 4:30 P.M.

Prizes are dependent upon participation. You can sign up via the official swtor.com jung ma server forums, or contacting a REIGN Officer via /whisper or in-game mail. You can reach out to Anvindr, Nadira, Karisa, Deloth or Moregan

If there are eight or more teams of racers. Prizes will be: 1st place, 800,000 credits, divided equally among the team ; 2nd place, 600,000 credits, divided equally among the team ; 3rd place, 400,000 credits, divided equally among the team.

The Rules

1.) No individual racers will be allowed to participate.

2.) Ambush teams have already been pre-selected prior to race. If a spot opens up, there will be a notification prior to the race beginning, for additional two-man teams.

3.) REIGN wants this to be a fun and enjoyable event, without trolling or harassment of the racers who elected to take the time to participate. To that end, if there is any harassment of the racers, REIGN will take whatever means necessary to ensure their safety and fun. If it means hunting down trolls and killing them, then so be it.

4.) As an addendum to rule #3, if any Republic Side sister guilds are found to be harassing racers, their Empire side team will immediately forfeit their entry fee and prizes.

5.) No racers will be allowed to participate after 4:30 P.M. on the day of the race. So get there early and get your entry fees submitted.

6.) Grand prize winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes ( Speeder, Pet, Title, respectively) Will be determined via random /roll, with the prize going to the highest roll.

7.) In the event of a tie, a single elimination race will be held to determine the winner. The race will consist of one baton swap at the Dread Palace and back to the start.

8.) NO QUICK TRAVEL will be allowed during the race.

There you have it. An official event, courtesy of REIGN. We hope for a large turn out and loads of racers and fun. If you have any questions, concerns or comments, leave them below or find a REIGN Officer and we'll be happy to address any thoughts you may have. Good luck and may the best racer win!
