Apophis_
Since 2.4 my female Sage is more vocal when taking damage. I also heard same kind of screams from female Shadow. If this is new, why it is not mentioned in Patch Notes? And am I the only one who noticed this change? I think this is an amazing thing. I have many alts and the only class that I noticed very loud when taking damage is probably Sith Warrior, so getting more of that kind of stuff is really good, makes my characters more "real". Lundorff
Yes have also noticed this on my sage. But my dear companion Fess has begun to grunt like a honey lizard and he doesn't stop even when combat ends. Very annoying.

Holyexecutor
Not just you - if you've played S&V recently, you can notice how everybody moan entering the sand storm at the beginning. I've never heard that before... Edited October 7, 2013 by Holyexecutor
Sazztam
Aye, lvling a merc and she is moaning and grunting like a roughneck. Kinda distracting and odd...
Alec_Fortescue
I heard a lot of new moans and grunts when taking damage on Oricon with my Warrior and Knight.
Jrea
They seemed to have added in some new "sounds" in 2.4. Most classes and races and companions seem to enjoy grunting now. I'm just glad I have a keyboard with a easily accessible mute key.
reclipsed
WTB toggle vocal emote option. My Juggernaut moans like an amish watching his first porno.
Darth_Wicked
I did notice Bowdaar the other day, raging like a caveman... Guess I wasn't hearing things then.
chuixupu
Mmhm there's definitely sound shenanigans going on, just don't know if they're accidental or intended. Quyzen was the only one confirmed to be a bug. Edited October 7, 2013 by chuixupu
Clarian
I really like the new combat voice stuff, though I wouldn't be opposed to a toggle for people that don't. Especially if it was a choice between a toggle and just removing them altogether.
moonmonster
Yeah, could we get an option to toggle the grunts off? On some characters I don't mind, or even enjoy it. Others... not so much. My female sith warrior sounds terrible. It's distracting to the point that I just play other characters.
ckoneful
Noticed it myself today, came back after probably a 3+ month hiatus from the game. Thought maybe I miss it before, but I love it!
UltimateKrucible
Some of the replies in this thread have given me genuine lols. Thanks for that. Amish - class. But yeah, it's lie my shadow suddenly realised getting shot/hit with a sabre/bitten/scratched what have you actually hurts real bad.
Lundorff
The constant grunting/panting of Qyzen Fess: This happens on all (2) characters the make use of him as a companion. (Bug report has been filed what ever good that does).
WillCaedes
At Bioware, we strive to make sure your Star Wars: The Old Republic experience is as sexualized as possible. Including, but not limited to skimpy bikini's and groaning/grunting while one is in combat...and after combat now! We hope you enjoy our brothe... we mean, we hope you enjoy our A+ Game. We look forward to maintaining and continuing service on Star Wars: The Groaning and Grunting Republic: Rise of the Heavy Breathing Cartel. LordArtemis
Yea, they went a bit overboard on the lols with this change. Makes for some furiously hilarious sound bites from fighting now. So now I have to turn off sound or shoot soda out my nose.
Lundorff
10/8/2013 2.4.0b Patch Notes Companion Characters Qyzen Fess is no longer overly excited by combat and will stop growling after the action has ended. http://www.swtor.com/patchnotes/2.4.0b/1082013 Fantastic
Kaymac
I noticed this too and I like it, more feedback as to whats going on is a good thing I think. I feel like these were meant to be enabled when the game launched as it would be strange to have recorded all these voice clips and not use them - just that they were missed and somehow got enabled now; accident or otherwise. But thank the stars they fixed Fess.
Beltane
I'm just bumping this up because the noises in combat are driving me crazy. My sorcerer basically screams and moans nonstop throughout warzones as well as PVE combat and it's really taking away from any "epic" feeling to me... working as intended?
