unload - short question

with arsenal should i use unload only if i have a barage proc or should i use it even without barage proc if it comes of cd?

i disagree, because even without barrage, it's still the highest dps-to-cost attack you have and still hits really hard in its own right.

i parsed a bit (just tracers, unloads (klicked barrage proc off) and rapids)

and did some quick and dirty math:

unload without barrage is (looking at heat and damage) easily comparable with tracer + rapids

TM + Rapids

1 TM-Hit with an average damage of 2732,66 (this is without the 2-pc pve)

10 Rapid Shoots Hit with an average damage of 10*117,94=1179,4

so TM + Rapids hits on average for 2732,66 + 1179,40=3912,06 dmg

 

Unload

Hits 6 times for an average damage of 6*1248,07=7488,42

 

so using unload when it comes off cd is better than waiting for a barage proc

I'd still --and in-game, often do-- use it even without Barrage:

 

Fully talented, it still hits like a bloody truck, and is probably our most heat-efficient ability.
