Veregl Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 There is currently an extremely high and unmet demand for KOTOR era character items (such as the robes/armor of Darth Revan & Bastila Shan) which is caused by their sole placement as rare randomized items in Cartel Market 'packs' which players must purchase with real money. The only way to obtain such items is either through paying for these packs and being lucky enough to win these items, which can potentially cost hundreds of dollars, or locating them on the Galactic Market, for ridiculously high prices caused by their scarcity (A Revan chest piece goes for an average of 1,000,000 credits) While there is of course a place for premium rare items in any MMO, the fact that their attainment rests upon potentially high expenditure or tracking an item down for an inflated credit price presents a problem in that a sense of unfairness is created- which does not aid SWTOR in holding on to patrons. This can be resolved quite easily by inserting another means by which to obtain these items where the lack of 'fairness' is alleviated. Suggestions could include: 1. Creating difficult high level/group missions whose plot relates to specific KOTOR characters and their related items, where such items are made available either as random or boss loot. 2. Including them as drop items in Flashpoints or Class Missions 3. Creating more packs where such items are more heavily concentrated and categorized in single packs, such as a 'Sith Lords' pack, or a KOTOR 1/2 pack.
