schwartzpedro Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Guys I maxed armormech but I have no idea what to do with it anymore. With few Adaptable recipes that can be sent for another faction alts, and the gear being weaker then Commendations at 55, what's the use of maxing armormech?
psandak Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 Augments augments augments. The schematics for grade 28 (green) are fairly cheap on the GTM. Armormech makes Skill (Cunning), Reflex (Aim), Shield, and Absorb augments. You will have to RE for blue and purple quality schematics.
morfius Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 Augments & augmentation kits. Kits component are best obtained via Cybertech RE of crafted droid parts. With adaptive armors & CM... Armortech & Syntweaving are pretty screwed if you have no way to gain cheap kit parts - only augments remain. Armstech at least have barrels to make in addition of some augments. Artfice have their enhancements, hilts & dyes. Cybertech have armorings, mods, ears, grenades, and parts for kit parts. Biochem have stims, adrenals, implants, med-packs & abilities to use reusable version. When it come to end game crafting - all 30/31s (armoring, mod, enhancement, hilt & barrel) are RE able... implants, ears & relics too.
Samrian Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Hi, Several people have mentioned using Cybertech to craft droid parts and then RE to obtain "cheap" (relative to GTN) Aug Slot components. Which droid parts are being crafted to use this way. I tried it with a couple of LVL 52 parts that I crafted and then reverse engineered. It gave me the desired component but at a cost of 11,000 credits each. That is not cheaper than GTN. So I must be making the wrong thing. How are people doing this? Thank you
morfius Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 (edited) Hi, Several people have mentioned using Cybertech to craft droid parts and then RE to obtain "cheap" (relative to GTN) Aug Slot components. Thank you There are parts that need 2, 2, 2 scavenging mats. Run mission for mats - (rich return 8 of them for 4k, flux return above on moderate) - cost of 1 part = 3-4k, RE return some mats, so let say 3k per kit component. 5 kit mats - (2,2,2 scav. 2 blue slicing, 10 components per 1) = 160k credits. Armormech on Trooper = 33/30% crit chance (Tano Vik have 5%, 10000 affection - 5%, legacy crafting 3%, base for non oragne schematics - 20%) = 6 or 7 kits per 5 queued. (Ship robot with sensor - 30%) Price per kit - 23 - 27k credits. Right now they sell for 67k credits... so about 40k profit = 240-320k per run. Do it once/twice (Tano & droid) a day and for a month you will have ~ 8/16 mil credits. Of course to use only rich missions mean 2 - 3 scavengers, some logon/logoff ... to have such crit chance mean to use only 1 or 2 queues ... it is not just for 1st character (or 2) ... crafting is huge sink at beginning, it shine when you have money and characters. For starting - returning ones my advice is to stick with gathering skills & selling mats. Edited September 7, 2013 by morfius
Larkie Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I know everyone is saying augments, but they probably mean level 55 augments. The market is awash in level 55 purple skill/reflex augments and you will find yourself having to constantly relist and lower your price in order to sell them. I'd like to let you know that that are many levels below that - I believe augments start at level 9. Making blue versions of reflex/skill augments and selling them at reasonable prices for leveling will not make you rich overnight but you will find buyers and make credits.
DarthOvertone Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Just shoot yourself. Armormech is complete garbage at 450. Worst of the Crew Skills by far.
morfius Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Just shoot yourself. Armormech is complete garbage at 450. Worst of the Crew Skills by far. Augments & kits are so good & steady income if you play it right, but I am fine if most of you drop it... will have better income
MadHobbit Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 well I have a with armortech at 450, I make most of my Credits on making gunslinger headgear, its a lvl 19 med armor at the most i pay 6k for mats and i sell them for 13450 for normal and 16450 for ones with augment slots, I usually sell about 7-8 a weekend, i have 3 alts with only gathering skills I use to gather mats for, which saves me money. I have made some blue augments for mid lvl like lvl 30-40 and sold them for lots and they sell within a day or so they all paid for my crafting the higher lvl items.
