iankalo Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 (edited) Im shocked ... *** I still cant believe it. For almost a year I had game performance issues (fps) , even if Im on Very Low graphic settings + SWTOR Unleashed. My laptop is 2 years old (Processor: Intel® Core i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz / Installed memory (RAM): 6,00 GB ) Now my game running on MAX settings and I can do some warzones without the freezing screen when Im near the mass-fight place. Loading screen loads a lot faster than before and it takes me no longer than 5 sec when changing different locations. Im so happy The secret is - laptop Power Options -> select a power plan -> High Performance (Favors performance, but may use more energy). Edited August 23, 2013 by iankalo
Andryah Posted August 23, 2013 Posted August 23, 2013 LOL... you know this is laptop gaming 101, right? But hey.. good to see you resolved your performance problems. Nice thing about gaming on a laptop.. you always know immediately when the power cord has come out.. UNLESS you set the battery power plan = plugged power plan.. in which case your battery goes dead in 15 mintutes. :D

UNLESS you set the battery power plan = plugged power plan.. in which case your battery goes dead in 15 mintutes. :D Its HP Pavilion g series But after 2 years , now I can see its potential I thought this Power saving option is only for the laptop battery. But this also improve the performance. It actually allows your laptop to run it its maximum performance. For example, if you use the power saver plan it will underclock your processor, turn off your hard drives when not in use, etc.The benefits of the high performance plan is that you get the maximum performance.
OwenBrooks Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 Some people never find that setting so don't feel bad it took a year

SkunkWerks Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 (edited) LOL... you know this is laptop gaming 101, right? Power plan changes aren't unique to laptops. Any version of windows on nearly any hardware manufactured in the last five years parks CPU cores over-aggressively even by power conservation standards. Meanwhile... Laptop Gaming 101: Don't bring a knife to a gunfight. But I build desktops, and I digress. Edited August 24, 2013 by SkunkWerks
