Hello,

Like the title suggests, please help me chose!

I am interested in a healing class for PvP.

I currently have a lvl 38 Merc, 28 Operative and 11 Sorcerer.

I can't really tell which of the three has the best healing potential end-game since my experience isn't that high..

I know that I sometimes dominate everything healing wise on my Operative, while sometimes I can't even get more than 2 casts during warzones because I get focused so hard and the armor ops use doesn't keep me alive that good..

I haven't tried my Merc's healing spec yet, but considering it's heavy armor, I believe it's the tankiest healer out there.. but I would like to know the healing capabilities.

As for the Sorcerer.. well, level 11, 1 healing ability.. don't really know anything about this class at the moment.

So please, if anyone could give me some clues as to which class would be better end-game overall, I would really appreciate it!!

Operative. No more questions, no more debates.

Go away.

Now to be more professional and have a view similar to yours.

I have a level 55 Mando healer, the Mercs mirror and I really, really, REALLY, enjoy the healing on it. It's mostly single-target healing unlike the other 2 classes that have large AoE heals. Most games I will outheal the other team or a Scoundrel on our side if they're just casual healers.

I only have a level 27 Scoundrel, but I'll be honest, energy management is difficult until the late 30's when you get reduced ability costs and Diagnostic Scan is better. Can I put up good heals? Yes, however when I'm marked, it's over.

I have a level 55 Sage healer as well. It's fun I'll admit that, the one thing you will notice though is that there's a reason you have two insta-heals and the all powerful bubble. It's because they are the squishiest healers. Now when you have a good tank guarding you and taunting, and you keep him and yourself bubbled, you're virtually unstoppable.

So on my Mando I average around 700k+ on a good day, not getting less than 400k any given WZ.

On my Scoundrel (remember not 55 so watch me get flamed for this) I can put up a 500k in a good Voidstar match.

And on my Sage I've hit 1mil before, but it was a long-*** Novare Coast.

Despite what people say, Mercs are excellent healers because to many people's surprise, we can kite. Hydraulic Overides is superb in PvP. I can't tell you the times I've had 3 Marauders jump me only for me to Electro-net the smasher, Cryo Bomb another, and kite away, healing myself while my team plants the bomb.

And generally as long as I'm paying attention, I won't run out of ammo/build too much heat. There are emergencies but then I use Reload/Vent Heat. Plus Supercharged Gas makes Healing Scan have no Cooldown so it's great for spamming it to get someone out of a sticky situation. Oh and Reactive Shield (I forget the Merc name) makes you immune to interrupts, so you stand in the middle of battle free-casting.

My opinion on Sages, however, is good but not strong. The Bubble, oh the wonderful OP'd bubble that absorbs so much damage. I love that bubble. Keep yourself bubble'd and go to town healing. That's the fun part about Sages/Sorcs. We have more heals than you have interrupts. I don't use Force Barrier much, but when I do I like how it will heal me 10%, then I pop both insta-heals and a bubble and I'm up to 60%+ HP again.

The reason I don't care for Scouperative healers, is because they're too damn common. I hate FOTM. Mando/Mercs are the black sheep currently, and boy are they LOADS of fun to play.

So honestly, if you want to see large numbers, go Operative.

If you want a fun and great healing class, go Sorc.

If you want a fun, challenging but rewarding healer, go Merc.

Note: I've had my Mando for 18 months so I've seen the good and the bad.

Had my Sage for 12 months or so.

Have had my Scoundrel since before 2.0 and I still hate her lol. I have a Concealment Operative however and that's a fun class!

Congratulations! You have reached the end of my post!

The way i see it, Operatives - Great healing output, with great survivability.

Sorcs - Great healing output, with low survivability.

Mercs - Low healing output, with great survivability.

Never played any of these chars outside the normal warzone though, someone more experienced could probably clarify this more. All i'm absolutely sure of, is that on my operative with old Battlemaster gear and recruit items etc, i still manage to outheal my partisan geared merc.
