Elfa Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 (edited) Why is the gear from the Cartel Reputation dealer not Legacy bound like the other reputation dealers? This is the sole reason I'm not even trying to get rep with them. I don't want any more non Legacy gear and there is no reason why the Cartel rep gear should be shafted, especially since people are spending real money to get to it. I'm also only speaking of the 3 sets of orange armor from the main dealer, not the certificate gear or the retired armors. I remembered seeing the armor in there and started buying crates to get enough rep to use it only to find out that it s BOP. Yes, my fault for not researching it, but also Bioware's fault for setting a precedent of all rep armor being BOL and then altering it without advertisement for no apparent reason. At least I realized it before I bought it. Come on Bioware, make it BOL, be fair to ALL reputation holders. Edited August 19, 2013 by Elfa
Hambunctious Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 It kinda is legacy, but they want you to pay CC to have it available to all your legacy. However, you can't use it to send mods to other characters in your legacy. It's like the CC market style unlocks. Look, it's just another greed induced way to make people who are already subbed spend even more money, and everyone else to spend even more than what they do. It's pretty sleezy imo.
Furiel Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 The reputation is applied across your entire legacy so there is no need to be able to send them to other characters unless you are trying to move armorings/mods/enhances with it, in which case since you should already have a full set of legacy armor for that purpose anyway so I fail to see an issue.

How is it sleezy? Reputation is pure "fluff." If you don't want to spend the time/CC/creds for it, don't. Easy peasy.

I see your point. What I like to use Legacy armor for is so I can make one set for every class, gear it and then I can mail it to whomever needs it at that time. The more Legacy gear available, the more potential appearance options there are. Not having these armor just cuts down on more appearance choices and really, it isn't all that fair to have a particular reputation vendor left out.

They just want to s uck more money out of people at every chance they get. Lawyers would be envious of their tactics.
