Jedi Covenant 2.4 DPS Competition

 

This is the new thread resuming where Sylvand left off updating the top DPS parses on the server. Unfortunately, he doesn't have as much time to take care of this anymore, so I'll be happily updating this daily (as much as I can at least!) Also, if you would like to post your gear as a reference for others to see what you're wearing when you made your parse, be sure to check out This link for Askmrrobot. I also took the liberty to update this to a Top 5 DPS on our server, instead of top 3, to get some more names out there and better the competition. That being said, begin to show us your true DPS skills!

 

One other ting to note as well - I only added posts that were within the last 30 days to the new Top 5 list, so there may still be a few new spots open. Be sure to get some new parses recorded to fill these new spots!

 

One more thing to note - this page will be updated once per week (mainly because school comes first :p So expect this page to be updated every Friday as that is my goal. Thanks for understanding!

 

Rules:

 

• Not going to make it complicated it's going to be the standard 300 seconds (5 minute) long parse using Torparse on the level 55 operations training dummy, ship or fleet doesn't matter, I would recommend the ship version to avoid potential lag. Please note, all parses are cropped the to 300 second mark exactly, so if you see your parses seems different than your upload, this may be why.

• You can use self buffs and the 4 class buffs, no external help from guild mates (debuffs/inspiration) or the nightmare pilgrim buff.

 

• Any stim, adrenal, grenade you wish to use is fine.

 

• No pre-parse proc'ing of relics.

 

• Only the end of the parse will be cropped, ramp up time will not be taken out from the beginning; and I will handle that part.

 

• This is all in good fun no elitism and everyone is welcome to participate.

 

Rankings will be done in a 1st - 5th format for each set of advanced class (Commando/Mercenary is in the same category for example). Not all specs are equal for each advanced class so when you link your torparse log make sure to make a copy of your spec , on Torhead for example, and include that in your post as well. If you wish you may also include a breakdown of your stats if you want to let others know your gear set up.

One last note:

If anyone is accused of cheating and sufficient evidence is provided they will be required to do a 2 minute long parse of only their basic attack to verify that the damage is legitimate and not buffed externally or the log will be taken down in shame.

Thanks for taking over on this. Gotten a couple new pieces lately and guess I'll need to try for a new parse.

 

Sounds good man, would love to see some more PT action on this server, they don't get enough love!

I do better with the hybrid spec, but I did pyro before 2.0, and used dfa/flamethrower with(was a minor dps gain if you timed it properly), so I'm pretty well used to the playstyle. I just keep forgetting to use shoulder cannon, even after being back for a month now. AP/Tactics seems boring to me. Used it when we were learning NiM DG to help out our healers, but didn't really like it.

Played around a bit, did a couple AP parses (rather long, but it's not like it changes much after the 5 minute mark, hah) and a kinda super-****** hybrid parse (kept mis-timing my dots and having RB fall off right before or during flamethrower, and then overheating trying to correct) AP was only like 100-ish behind the ****** hybrid parse for me, but I still don't like playing it as much.
