The changes in PvP Daily/Weekly missions

They are testing it on PTS

PvP missions have been updated such that no longer require Warzone wins, and missions advance by two points for a Warzone win. New requirements are as follows:

Under level 55 Daily PvP missions: 2 completed Warzones

Under level 55 Weekly PvP missions: 5 completed Warzones

Level 55 Daily PvP missions: 4 completed Warzones

Level 55 Weekly PvP missions: 15 completed Warzones

Nice i could now finish weekly in one week with this change :p And i approve the focus in missions on joining warzones for fun, the win is extra. This would decrease the time gap between fully geared and gearing up ppl

It would appear that the incentive to winging (more comms etc) is shifted to a better ranking, however that doesn't mean much when everyone is doing the same thing. So then te focus becomes premade's and then the argument of pre mades, in arenas will be inevitable...

I'd even prefer an extra quest of something like: win 30 games in a week forbid amount of comms.

Horrible change and only catering to the casuals.

How silly of them to focus on the vast majority of thier player base. Perhaps you should offer them some advice on how to make the game profitable, by focusing on just 20% of their players instead.

Come on we are waiting!!

Funnily enough this is a casual game. This will also allow for the faction lopsided servers ie. PoT5, to have both factions complete their weeklies. Admittedly I wish they had of added extra dailies to increase the incentive to pvp and allow pvp to be slightly profitable.

I'm not sure I'm big on this change, hardcore PVP'er here and enjoyed grinding for the weekly, even if I was solo queuing on a bad day, made it seem more worthwhile.

As far as this goes, you shouldn't be allowed to queue solo for ranked, it's going to be nerfed eventually, because of PVE'ers joining and whinging why they are getting absolutely turbo ****ed all the time. Currently ranked on most servers is massively competitive, it wants to stay that way.

The solo and premade ranked queues are totally separate. You can stick with your premade, if the prospect of playing a casual offends you so much.

But casuals should not be allowed access to the same type of game as you, should they?

Games aimed at grinding all day are dieing. They now want to target players with full time jobs, families, responsibilities. Because those people have money to spend in the cartel market and don't suck up as much bandwidth. Or devour content as fast.

Gaming is a hobby, anyone who spends as much time in the game as the devs do working on it, deserves pity, not reward.

Casuals are now the most valuable players. If you have all day to play games, use that time to do something worthwhile, contribute to the human race.

This won't solve the problem of quitters. People quit because of BADS, nothing more, nothing less and it has nothing to do with winning. Completing warzones may help but bads will always be the root cause of people leaving WZs

like pvp gear was restricted based on skill in the first place...

I neither like nor dislike the change. it's incidental. it will help servers, such as pot5, in which one faction vastly outnumbers the other in skilled players/guilds. nothing more.

I'm a casual. I generally play maybe 2 hours a day, sometimes more, after work and all I do is PvP. Unless I'm short on cash then I spend a half hour in Black Hole. I'm happy with these changes and with all the mentions of POT5, it seems everyone will enjoy finally getting their weekly done against <tig 'ol bitties>. Once played 10 games in a row against them and didn't win once, so I was stuck with a Weekly Tuesday morning at 8/9 wins.

i like the changes yeah it kills any incentive to pvp and caters to casuals but so what?

I mean on servers like the red eclipse and otehr servers where one faction dominates the other it will still give people the chance to get their dailies and weeklies done and gear up it should also help shrink the gear gap not everyone can get full conq in a week hell i struggled to get 4 pieces of partisan on TRE, all this change doesi s help level the playing field a bit more, not everyone is an mmo junkie and plays non stop , a fair ammout of people have lives, jobs family ect ect

It's bad at it is, with people acting like idiots in warzones. Now they have even less incentive to get their acts together. I mean, the problem isnt that people are losing 1 vs 1'es, there will always be that form of skill disparity. The problem is that people, more often than they seem to realize, are throwing away potential wins by doing incredibly stupid things. Now they can keep doing those things without any real consequences.

Additionally I cannot understand how someone can, in relation to real life, be completely different in games, have an OFF switch and be content with anything less than success. I'm not saying that people should rage over a loss but if it doesnt bother them just a little then they're not doing it right. Nor do i think this change will have any effect on the population. The only (potentially) positive outcome will be that people arent switching faction, for the sake of getting a couple of wins.

What makes you think people have an 'ON' switch in real life? Personally, I am stunned that some of them know how to turn their computer on. Or they must phone a friend.
