Jeweledleah Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 so here I am on my murderous, completely insane sith assassin. questioning shady characters. who refuse to answer questions. and she just... walks away? not murdering them or anything, or i don't know, at least shock them with lightning? I mean.. she's Sith fer cripes sakes, and they are just criminals, no one would even think of making trouble for her, if she kills a few here and there, or engages in some recreational torture to make a point. and yet... she's forced to walk away. boooooo, I say >_>
WarbNull Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 It would have been cool if they added in more Dialog with the Shady Characters. Even gave us some options for Light and Dark. Like say if your Sith wishes to kill them then they should be able to. Then get Dark Side Points for it. Same for someone trying to get Light Side Points. That would have been cool. A little bit more of story to the Event and little bit more reward for doing it. That would have been cool.

I like this human, errr droid! he understands! it would indeed be awesome and feel a little more personal. I mean there are cool touches already, like being able to force persuade with force users, or flirt with occasional contact, but at the same time... how awesome would it be to force choke some reluctant "I don't want to be snitch" with "I find your lack of information.. disturbing" well maybe not necessarily with those words, but you get the idea Edited August 16, 2013 by Jeweledleah

alltooeasyactual Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Yep I hate that, it reminds me of old adventure games where there would be stuff to click on on the screen that served no purpose other than to say "nothing to see here".
Darth_Moonshadow Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Really? Know what bugs me? THAT YOU SITH ARE TAKING OUR JOBS! YOU TERK MAH JERB!
Jeweledleah Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 Really? Know what bugs me? THAT YOU SITH ARE TAKING OUR JOBS! YOU TERK MAH JERB! /cackles madly. hey those torture implements and grapes to munch on while enjoying the torture - they don't buy themselves
Feztonio Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 agreed. My inquizzy is on the Dark Council for gosh sakes. She should be more than able to vaporize an uncooperative shady customer and not even think twice about it. but the "meh what can ya do right' and walking away when the customer wont' spill the beans is laughable. My character would in all instances torture the customer until they squeal.. or their faces melt off. either way just as good
JPryde Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 While not a Sith, something along the lines was irking me for the Jedi as well. After we got the 5 shadies and talk to out contact, we do get the option of Jedi-Mind-Tricking them into cooperation... cool... well... okay, why didn't we use that on the shadies before already instead of saying "hey guy, there is something I really got to know..".. or "have a drink, you drug dealing wookiee-herder?" In the opening sequence activating our lightsabers was enough to bring a fugitive to surrender... but we rather chat with shady characters and refrain from using our Jedi tricks to get the information needed? Strange
Callaron Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Are you actually using the Interrogation probes? Or the default investigation ones? Because with the Interrogation probes so far my success rate has been a 100%... one way or the other. Either they cower in fear and tell you what you want to know, or they attack and you get the information off of their corpse.

On a different note, my equally murderous, insane sith sorcerer has been chatting with Ashara lately, and the sheer amount of rudeness and insubordination there is unbelieveable. Ashara even said 'shut up' to my Sith, and I never got the chance to fry her useless butt in the cut screens. I feel your pain. I'd fry that bish in a second, and I agree with you, we should be able to fry those useless scumbags for not talking to us.

I want to shackle her next to the babbling idiot Tallos Dreadful and MAKE her listen to him forever or until she becomes obedient.
Irongut Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Both my Sith have used interrogation pobes on almost every shady character they see and then killed anyone who wouldn't talk. The only exception has been my Jugg who has bought a drink for a few of the female shady characters and chatted them up. But if they refused to talk she still killed them. So what's the problem?
branmakmuffin Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I guess humorous posts don't come through very well on the internet. Not when they are completely in line with non-humorous posts people make along similar lines, because there are people who seriously complain about stuff you were joking about. So unless the joke is way over the top and obvious (a la Darth_Moonshadow), it's not going to be clear to someone who does not know your posting style. I wasn't really annoyed in this case. just joking about how much more fun the event could be if we got to act a little bit more in character. But it's a computer game. It can't take into account each and every possible reaction like a human game master can in a PnP game. but hey, lets push people away from this game and reject any and all commentary, including something that comes with constructive ideas yes? it needs fewer players having less fun, yes? Not sure what this is about. What constructive idea? Sure, it would be nice if we had as many dialogue options as we would get with a human game master, but that's impossible.
Ivy_Blackrose Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 what bugs me is the fact we are limited on how much reputation we can earn? I earned my reputation the first day of bounty week and now i cant earn any more till next month? very lame

ptwonline Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Yeah, that bugs me too. I understand that in a realistic sense you can't always just crack down on informants because that would just cause the rest to hide from you, but it feels just so out-of-character for a Sith to be so boldly denied right to their faces by some scumbags.

I know it's OT, but does anyone else feel that the Jedi Mind Trick is actually quite immoral? Compelling people against their will to do something? That seems like something Sith would love, but for a Jedi to do it has always bothered me.
