I really liked Eric's idea about class representatives (or whoever in BW originally came up with it!).

I wondered if there were any plans for other representatives to cover different issues. I am personally thinking about achievements, but I wondered about an FPs rep, an events rep, an ops rep, a cartel rep or that kind of thing? The non-class specific things. I would think we could all think of e.g. 3 questions on ops we'd really like to ask the devs about.

I thought the questions we've had so far from the class reps were really thoughtful and the answers were really clear, detailed and helpful.

I know there are a lot of other issues that the community asks about on forums - and the ensuing frustration when they don't get a dev response! - so I thought a chance to ask 3 questions on our issues with guaranteed responses would be really great. And it might be useful for BW to see which issues we actually care most about as a group.

Sure, there's always the worry that it will descend into whining, but I think class reps have shown how well it can work, so I wondered if any thought had been given to expanding it? Or maybe even one or two "general" reps who could then have different topics each month?

i read somewhere on the forums that this was a test thing and if it worked out, they'd do more (like crafting).

i can't find it at the moment, but i'd love some more as well.

This would be the best one to go next but it's not gonna happen, let's be real. Why? The Cartel Market.

Sorry, I don't understand your point, what has the cartel market got to do with having a community representative for crafting?

Cartel Market has severly hurt lots of crafting areas. It would be an unavoidable topic and everyone knows Bioware will NOT make Cartel earn any cent less it possibly could, even if that means hurting crafting.

Crafting could be made better and more relevant without impacting the CM if EA/BW wished to make the effort it would take.

The current crafting system is entirely too simple and really amounts to nothing more than a time/credit sink that is mitigated by the simple fact that the time you use is your companions time.

A major overhaul of the crafting system would be nice, it is up to EA/BW if it is worth the effort.

From a game balance point of view, I do not see that happening, EVER. As long as blue mods are available for coms, crafting will be optional for new people trying to level up. As an end game tool it is more useful, but still at best optional. To improve upon it will clash with other game aspects like CM, coms and elder game content, even event contect including legacy vendor stuff. Which is why it won't happen.

Back to the OPs comment, I would love too see that happen as well. Maybe 2 or 3 people that can ask general questions on a wide variety of subjects? Food for thought...

in Star Wars Galaxies we had a representative for (on top of class's), space (Piloting), crafting (each craft had its own representative), Politician (Mayors/Cities), Beast Master, Entertainers so guess we could have crafting and space here.

Just feel sorry for the person who gets the "guild" representative as it will be a lonely role with no feedback, no updates and no love given to their representative field :(
