Joekanav Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Hi everyone, this is my first post on the forums So I'm a subscriber right now and I have a few questions about what will happen to my account after my sub ends. I will probably re-sub in December. I bought a 60 day game time card to sub to the game. 1. Will I become f2p or preferred status player after my sub ends? 2. Will the stuff in my cargo hold still be there when I re-sub? 3. Will I be able to equip the artifact gear I have right now? 4. I know the credit cap is 350k. I have about 750k. What will happen to those credits and the credits I receive after hitting the credit cap? 5. Will I still have the end-game comms when I become f2p/ preferred player? 6. Do get to choose which crew skills I'll keep or is it random from the 3 I have? Thanks in advance

Once you've 'bought' anything you are no longer f2p. 2. yes 3. no 4. the extra credits go into an 'escrow' account that you can access with a cartel purchase 5. yes but capped or unavailable until resub 6. not sure of this one but once unlocked I think they stay unlocked.
Heal-To-Full Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 (edited) Endgame commendations will actually work the same for subscribers and non-subscribers, there might be some minor differences, nothing important. You will need a crew skill unlock, or your third crew skill will grey out. Artifacts you're wearing will stay equipped, but AIUI they won't actually work, i.e. won't add the stats. While there is an Escrow Transfer unlock, it's ridiculously overpriced. You'd do better to spend the 400k you have over the limit before your sub runs out, to get the things you'll need from GTN. Among them Crew Skill unlock and Artifact Equipment Authorization (AEA). These two will alone run most of your excess cash, but you really want to buy the AEA with creds, since they're really expensive in terms of cartel coins. Good pricing is 200-300k for AEA normal and the account-wide is usually 500k range. If you plan on staying preferred, get an account wide, if you plan to resub later, a normal one can do. Roalmo Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 On Number 3: I believe the artifact gear you are wearing is still available to you, the stuff you have worn and now is in your inventory/bank may still be available also.
Enteum Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 On Number 6 > You get to choose which two you want to unlock. The other remains locked until resub, I've done it. You also get to choose which 2 characters you wish to unlock assuming you have more than 2.
NOTACTICS Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I think providing you bind a artifact quality item while you still a sub it still works when you go preferred. I think unbound purple items in your inventory are then locked for use, not sure if you still rip mods out from custom purples?. Like above has mentioned is is defo worth using that spare credit amount over the limit to try and get the account wide artifact unlock in case you do decide to stay preffered, its one less major restriction you don't have then on permanent basis then.
Joekanav Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 Thank you so much for the info everyone. I will probably spend my credits on the on the artifact unlock.
Urukuru Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Preferred status can have up to 6 active character slots, only f2p whom never bought anything are limited to 2 slots only. A question about that : do a character made with unavailable for f2p alien species can be playable after having going back to f2p status ?
Heal-To-Full Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Yes, of course, they wouldn't lock you out of a character. Just can't create a new one. Also, if your character actually reaches level 50, the race unlocks for creating new ones too, f2p or not.
