Has bioware got the jedi roles wrong

ok, the whole jedi roles thing? is mostly a gaming thing. all those roles you mentioned are classes and prestige classes for the old d20 pen and paper RPG

it can mostly from an IC POV be totally IGNORED.

it's like this. Jedi are amazeing warriors. amazeing diplom, ats. skilled pilots, yadda yadda ya.

in a pen and paper game there is no WAY they can be everything if you want some balance. fact of the matter is if represented that way they'd basicly be better then non-force users.

So they split the classes up.

it was originally Jedi guardian, a combat heavy skill light class. and jedi councelor, a skill focused class that wasn't as good at fighting.

Bioware makes KOTOR roughly based on these rules and adds the third "middle ground" sentinal class.

WOTC of course just like D&D publishes massive amounts of prestige classes (there was literally two prestige classes for everything in the Revised core rules. a non force user version and a force user version)

you're best served not taking these classes too IC
