FourPawnBenoni Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 (edited) So Bioware thinks that getting rid of 8 x 8; coordinated, objective based war zones and replacing it with an old 4x4 arena "last man standing" concept borrowed from WoW and believe this is the "best thing for the game"? Not to mention, dropping from 5 maps to just 3...yeah THAT won't get old fast (sarcasm) Wow, the decisions made by this company are just shocking. Don't they realize that the ONLY reason there isn't more ranked team play is because they've been sitting on their hands for the past year and never moved forward with an official ranked season or added more war zone maps other than AHG? The war zones have grown a bit stale but that is no reason to throw it aside for an inferior concept. Create an official ranked 8x8 war zone season. Sponsor official tournaments. Keep results on the website. Launch 4 new maps and your PVP population will explode. Keep 4 x4 arenas as a compliment to the bread and butter war zones and you then have the best of both worlds. UltimateKrucible Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 OK, I'll bite. They aren't removing anything. Just the option to play 8 v 8 ranked WZ. The normal Pug WZ will stay as they are, only with more premades now that they can't go play ranked. Go read the dev blog then come back here, m'kay?

Theyre not removing anything....except the ability to queue 8v8 warzones? Does that not count as "removing anything"? Then you tell the OP to read the blog post when the exact reason this post was created was bc 8v8 ranked is being removed? This post isnt about normal pug wz. Perhaps you need to reread the original post.

Perhaps you should read his post - he talks about "dropping fro five maps to three" He's clearly under the impressions that WZ are being replaced with arenas. That's not what's happening. Fair point about Ranked WZ being removed, though. I should have said that nothing of consequence was being taken out.
