wearyKhan Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 (edited) Hi all, I don't want this to be a rant, more sounding out others for their experiences. I have run a few characters healing and getting along well until levels 25/30 ish. At this point, I find more groups aggresively blaming me for wipes (when we have lost 2 group members within the first 5 seconds of a boss fight more than once) and group leaders ignoring the healer in terms of tactics. I will never claim to be the best Healer, but I have been complimented on my healing often (even working as a tank when the tank has dropped out of a session). My issue is, is this a mid game issue, or is this the attitude to Healers in general? Edited August 14, 2013 by wearyKhan change of topic title

Being a good healer will put you in demand.
Darkyurine Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I do not have any empirical evidence that proves this, but my hypothesis is that players that are in this range are either F2P or new to game and have no idea what is going on. I have suffered like you as a healer and have given up this coveted roll until I reached level 55. At this point the “Noobs” have been scolded so many times that they eventually fall in-line and start playing like viable players. We all know what it is like to be “Noobs”. We do not pick the correct gear, or any gear at all. We do not know our abilities and the mechanics of the flashpoint. The healer then needs to work twice or even if possible three times as hard. For instance; the flashpoint The Foundry was the breaking point for me to give up healing. I must have wiped 15 times in a group before I gave up. I have a BH healer and he kept overheating casting large heals to poorly geared tanks and dps. The foundry now is not a problem for me. I have adequate gear and abilities, along with the players as well. Healing is a lot more enjoyable now.
